Acer wont accept my password!

well, dollyvon1 I think you mite have contracted some kinds of (viruses) i am not sure though ,this is common with them they strip dvd players of drivers rewrite passwords all kinds of stuff. the only suggestion I can make is to go threw internet and try to download so password removel software load it on a scan disc and insert as soon as your booting pc and removeing password
if this doesn't work you mite have to take it to a professionel and have them reinstall windows again I am sorry lala linda hope this helps

You can try to Remove the CMOS battery from inside the laptop...

To Do This... you will need to remove the keyboard .. then look for the circular battery...you might need to remove more of the case to access..like the bottom cover....
But once you have found it.... Remove it for 5 minutes,, then put back... if it is soldered on to the motherboard... you will need to "short it out"... do this by touching both connectors on it with something metal like pliers or a knife tip.... Power on the laptop and power off the laptop as quick as you can to short the battery

then put all back together and Boot Up... hopefully it will have erased your CMOS memory and reloaded Default...

Try booting system to the SAFE MODE (F8 button at boot) see if you can login to the ADMIN account (No password).

If you can then go to user accounts in control panel, and reset the password for the other account.
