How do you remove the battery?

My player is stuck in start - up, I can't locate a reset button and don't know how to remove the battery. I assume doing either will correct my problem

My Insignia Sports Players won't work:( I have tried everything, nothing works. When I plug it into the USB cable it will turn on and get stuck when it tries to load the music library. What can I do?

The 10 second thing doesn't work for me, and it probably won't work if the device is frozen like people are describing and like what happens to me.

I actually have the 4GB Sport, but the only way that I can find to "fix" it is to let the battery die and then recharge the device.

On the back battery cover there is a little rubber button that looks like it may be a reset button, it is not, pick it out and you will see the small screw that holds the battery in place. Remove the battery for a short time (i -2) minutes, reinstall and restart the player.

I'm sorry to tell you but the battery is removable, I have mine out right now!

Hello LLRazz,

The battery in the Insignia Pilot is not removeable. You can reset the MP3 player by sliding the Power/Hold switch to the right and holding it there for 10 seconds.

Best Regards,
Ken

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

How do we clear out the timer settings

Timer is not identified.
Open following link to identify timer and download manual.

1) If you have zilla digital power strip, there is no reset button.
It appears you can reset timer by removing small battery located on back of timer.
Battery serves as a back-up for timer settings, and display will not show without battery.
Most battery-operated timers that do not have reset button are reset by removing battery.

Some battery operated timers retain programming forever even if battery is removed for months, and then programming is still there when new battery is installed. However this type of timer has a reset button, but zilla does not.

2) A second way to clear programming is to press PRG button to review each program, and set each program to another time. I don't know if this will work since you can't 'zero' out the settings.

I think that's Demo mode.
I got stuck there too.

This is what worked for me:
  1. Power the radio off (hold the power button in top left corner in for several seconds)
  2. Remove face plate
  3. Hold in reset 10 seconds
  4. Press push-menu dial/button 3 or 4 times
  5. Insert cd and hit source to switch to tuner before cd starts
Not all of these steps may be necessary.
I suspect having the power off before the reset button was the important part.

How to unlock bios of toshiba portege m500

two options

1. look on the mother board for a small round battery about the size of a nickle, remove it, start pc, after start up shut down, replace battery, start up again... or remove battery, let sit for about 30min, replace battery start pc.

2. look for a small red or yellow toggle switch or button on the mother board, (should say "reset bios") push button, restart pc.

i assume this is a lap top so there will be some disassembly of the unit, not to extreme though, usualy the battery and the switch/button are next to one another and located toward the front of the mother board, and if in lap tops the battery or batteries are in a plastic covering wired to the mother board with a small connector, just unplug connector if you cant find the reset button.

hope that helps

CD Stuck in cd player

There should be a reset button on either the face of the player or under the faceplate if its removable (tiny black button). Otherwise to remove the cd disconnect the unit and then plug it in or remove the memory fuse or battery lead for 5 seconds.

The Samsung YP-F1 has a reset button located under the black Samsung cover plate. It can be gently removed via a finger nail or mini flat blade screwdriver. Once plate is removed a hole labeled reset will be seen. Use something like a paper clip and press in. MP3 will power down/reset. MP3 data is also retained after reset.

reset the Zen. Then hold down the play button and power it on. Release the play button when you see the Creative logo. It will display the following options: Clean Up Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library. Does not affect music files themselves. Format (All) Caution! Erases all content! Save a copy of your player's content before formatting. Reload OS/ Firmware Caution! Erases your player's firmware. DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install. Reboot Reboots the device.
