I had the same problem, the burners were corroded. The only way to fix temporarily is to take them out. Once you take them out take out the screw and cover on the end that goes into the gas and try to shake out the rusted parts.

Burners and topplates are corroded on my 30" built-in grill. I don''t know the serial # of the grill or the parts. Can someone tell me?

Since you have your Model #. Go to www.sureheat.com (Sure Heat made these grills for GE) and find the Owners Manual by the Model #. The Owner's Manual will have a exploded view of all the parts and the part numbers. That way you will know the right parts to order.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem.

Mystery Part - Cover for Wood Chip Burner?

Although not shown in the Owner's or Installation Manual, I finally found a parts list and accompanying parts diagram it is shown there... it is a "top heat shield" and seems to go over the "smoker burner," just resting on top of the brackets around the burner, hole toward the back. Poorly designed installation plan and unbelievable that it is not mentioned or shown in any manual.

Weber Genesis outdoor grill. The ignitor clicks

If you hold down the igniter can you smell the gas coming out of the burners.

Have you disconnected the pipe from the barbie to see if the bottle regulator is actually letting gas through.

Turning the gas on in free air with no one smoking or naked fllames near the pipe is ok

You just crack open the valve a turn or two and you should hear and smell it.

If there is gas coming out og the pipe and not out of the burners then the gas control valve in the barbie is at fault and needs replacing

Need model # for ge monogram grill. do not know where to look

Yes, the model and serial number is below the grill. My burners are also corroded. I have a natural gas with three burners, rotisarrie, smoker. It is also a 36". My # is ZGG36N31YSS. I have seen the YSS be CSS for propane grills. Hope this information helps :) If it does, I have found two sites with the burners; partsadvantage.com and appliance-parts-warehouse.com.

Run around $120 for one burner :(

Low flame on 3 main burners. model GBC730W

Mike, I had this problem with my grill once or twice. Like most of us grilling men we turn the grill off at the tank trying to be safe. Sometimes, like in my case, I do not turn the nobs back to the off position. When returning to the grill the next day or week the first thing we do is turn the gas on leaving the nobs on, then lighting. Every time I do this my flame never gets full or does not reach full temp. To resolve this: turn everything off including the nobs, then turn the gas on, wait a minute or two. Turn the nobs to full and ignite. It should be at full flame then, adjust from there. I hope this is helpfull.
