my bios settings were correct, i tried to set the cdrom as my first boot device but still verifying dmi appears. it seems that it cannot read the boot disc in the cd rom, sometimes there'sa beeping sound. the interface is sata also the cdrom. but there are times that this pc can boot normally after days of not using it...

    thanks,

Looks like the bios settings are not connect. Choose your First boot device as HDD, Save changes and restart. Let me know if it worked so that we can get this resolved..

Why do not restored disks work for Acer Aspire M1100?

Turn off the computer Henry then turn it back on and hold down the alt key and tap F10 and make sure you remove any disks from the CD drive.
It would appear that the hard drive is having boot sector issues.

When i turn my pc on (acer aspire m1610) there is a black screen and is asking for a password, i think somene has changed my password

Oh dear. Can you find out who did it? That is the best option.
The password can be over ridden by a dealer. Contact Acer for details.
Hope this helps.

Stuck at verifying dmi pool data

Try restarting in Safe Mode, press F8 at bootup and then either troubleshoot or do a system restore.

I tried to upgrade my acer t180 to windows 7 from vista basic, no i"m having dmi problems... seems like it's stuck... help please

Hello kelajo34,

There might be a Desktop Management Interface (DMI) compatibility problem with Windows 7 and the Acer T180 Vista Basic DMI. The Acer support Windows 7 eligible systems link shows all the Acer computers that are fully compatible with windows 7. (Acer T180 is NOT in this list !):
http://www.acer.com/windows7upgrade/eligible.html

Also, It might be a good idea to run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor before upgrading from vista basic to Windows 7 on the Acer T180. The Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor download link is at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1b544e90-7659-4bd9-9e51-2497c146af15&displaylang=en

DMI Pool Data, Acer

You need a higher computer specification for Windows 7.

Acer Aspire T310 is design only for Windows XP Home/Professional and Windows 2000 according to Acer Support Page:

verifying DMI( Data Migration Information/or Dynamic Migration Information) pool data refers to hard disk function. check the hard drive to see if it functioning properly.

Computer says something about verifying pool data

If it says something along the lines of verifying dmi pool data then you might have a problem with your BIOS ( the setup utility you refer to ). Here is a URL that describes a solution to this problem, it is pretty intense if you don't have at least above average computer skills - http://www.duxcw.com/faq/computer/dmi.html. Let me know if you need any further assistance with this.

Acer Aspire T180

check your removable media disk drives and make sure that you don't have like a jump drive or CD-Rom that the computer doesn't like. If that doesn't work, enter the BIOS setup (usually F2, F12, ESC or something like that....check the bottom of the screen.) and find the Boot Order settings & move hard drive to #1
