Make sure your not using it in a very bright area as the little dont on the faceplate area near the earphone is a dim sensor that will limit the lighting of the phone. It senses the daylight and turn off the keypad lights and senses the darkness and turn them on.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

take the battery out. and plug it to the charger with no battery and turn it on if the keybad lights still dont work they likely got fried. if it got wet put the phone without the batter in non cooked rice for some hours it will absorb all the moisture. if its under warrenty take it to your service provider
