Question about Canon BJC S300 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Faded print My printer prints as if the ink has or is running out. I have replaced with new cartridges twice. I have done an initial clean and then a deep clean, in fact i have done everything on the maintanance tab. I put the printer away for a couple of years and have just got it out again and have gone through the same procedures with no luck.

Could you send me the model of your printer?

This problem is usually due to the Ink Cartridges. you have to replace the old cratridge by the original company's cartridge.

I installed new ink cartridges in my Lexmark X2600 printer. Print quality is faded. Cleaned cartridges twice. Print quality is still light. How do I fix this?

Go into printer properties and make sure that you don't have print quality set to draft. Try normal or best and see if that makes any difference.

Hi Good day!!!
Maybe your print head is clooged (red)
Then most about 98% are more likely to be an ink clog which just needs to be unclogged using something like print head cleaning solution
Basically, if a print head has been left unused for some time... moisture inside the ink begins to evaporate and instead of liquid ink, a thick inky jelly begins to form inside the print head.

When this occurs white lines appear in prints and most people not realizing the problem, will replace their inks... But when that does not work. Some assume they have an electrical fault, and replace their print head, others will replace their printer !

But provided there is no obvious print head damage? In 98% of cases it simply needs a little patience and print head cleaning solution injecting directly into the print head to dissolve the dried ink trapped inside. This will dissolve the clog and allow your expensive ink to flow once again. Most will then print as new.

Thank you for using fixya

I have a Kodak ESP-3 less than a year old. When it prints, there are bands of faded image throughout the first page and the whole page is faded as if the ink cartridge is spent (but we have replaced it...

Some (not all) of the ink-jets that spray the ink onto the paper have been clogged. Thus, what should *NOT* be WHITE on the paper remains as WHITE.

Start the Kodak Printer "utility" software, and run a "print-head-cleaning-cycle", to unclog those jets.

If a few of those cycles fail to improve things, take the printer to a qualified technician, for a more-thorough cleaning.

Our Brother MFC-490CW printer prints yellow, blue and red but won't print black even though we just replaced the black cartridge. We've checked everything about the new cartridge -- we took off the...

you have air in the air line tubes. you can try doing a couple cleaning, wait 24 hrs, and try a couple more cleanings and then do a test print.

you can try doing a ink purge, but it will **** up a lot of ink, but it might be your last resort.

press menu, and then *2864 quickly, then type 76, use the arrows to select black and then press 0.
when all done press 99 to exit.

It may work it may not, its possible you may even need to do it again, however, your inks will be depleted.

Black ink prints half a page then fades out. Sometimes does not print black at all. I have replaced the black ink cartridge twice and ran "clean printheads" many times. Still will not work

HI since you tried replacing the cartridges and cleaning the printhead, try the steps below.

1.Print a Demo Page.

a.Press the Menu button of the printer.
b.Use the down arrow key and select Print Demo Sheet.
c.Press OK button.

If demo page doesnt have black ink or faded prints, the printhead on your printer require replacement. Call 1.800.421.6699

Thanks.

Standard black printing has faded to grey.

Could just be a faulty cartridge?

My hp printer developed a similar fault, and despite all my attempts to clean, realign, whatever, the problem wasn't solved till I fitted a new ink cartridge. It's worth a try.

New ink cartridges and still won't print .....streaks and faded ink.

hi ,

-try cleaning it manually - by a lint free cloth and moisten it with water then dub unto the printhead of the cartridge- 4 about 4-6 times, then finish it with a dry cloth-

-then run the cleaning cartridge on the printer
-then print an alignment page
-there is no problem on the printer its just the cartridges

Print faded after replacing black cartridge Brother 240C

The print heads don't appreciate being out of ink so the Brother printer has sensors to prevent that but the tape defeated that prevention. Maybe more cleanings or maybe a cartridge with printhead cleaning solution will help. Otherwise, I fear a new printer.

Faded print on one side of page

I have a SCX-4100 Samsung, replaced the tonger cartridge, it was working fine for a few hundred sheets of printing, but after that, the left side of the page was printed very light, faded.
If I run the "Clean Drum", it will print a litter better, but still faded.
What can I do to correct this problem?
Thank you
