Trouble installing sp 3 for my xp

Hi I am wondering if you could possibly help me, I was prompted to download sp 5 from microsoft. Everthing was going ok until it was downloaded & then it said access denied, I have tried 3 or 4 times to do it all again but to no avail, if you can help with this problem I would be very grateful.
Thank you Phyll Keating

Actually i really would suggest that you stick to your sp2 first while there are some issues going on with sp3. wait for a little longer until the glitches have been resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

To make window genuine

Go to the windows update website and let it download the windows genuine advantage update, then let it run. You can also call Microsoft, sometimes they will help with this issue.

Have Windows XP, Home Edition. Cannot install Service Patch 3,

Beethoven 9 is not part of the service pack. Go to microsoft and download the service pack as is. If you don't have a fully registeredwindows program, you will have problems until you register it. I've downloaded all service packs and updates for the past 7 years on different levels of windows without any problems. You must have them registered to prove you have an authentic purchased program, not something copied from someone elses setup disks.

The wiondows update usually validates your windows software before allowing the download. Was this OK? SP3 is only a compilation of all the previous upgrades - nothing very special.
