Yes you can replace that unit however the harness that plugs into the old alpine in all probability will not work with another radio so you will have to connect the new radio's wiring harness to the boat's harness.
I am just taking a guess because I dont know what model this is. Your antenna wire could be loose in the back of unit, possibly when hitting buttons it knocked into place and now it has slipped out and needs to be proper put back in.
