DX4820 power supply

To my knowledge, the Power Supply used is just the common ATX form factor design.

Approximately 6 Inches Wide, 5-1/2 Inches Long, and 3-1/2 Inches Tall.

Needs these power cables;

A) 24-pin ATX main power cable
Newer power supply's come with a 20 + 4-pin ATX main power cable.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain20plus4

That is so the power supply can be used on a motherboard, that needs a 20-pin, OR a 24-pin ATX main power cable.

B) 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable.
Often referred to as an ATX12V power cable.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atx12v4

[Note color of power cable connectors does NOT matter ]

Note the Lock on the side of the power cable's connector, and matching Tab on the motherboard connector.
The 20 + 4-pin ATX main power cable, and matching motherboard connector; has this type of Lock/Tab also.

C) Needs at least 2 SATA power cables.
The Harddrive is a SATA unit, and I believe the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) is too.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#sata

Often has a Lock on the connector. Press to release when installing, or removing.

D) Should have at least two 4-pin (Standard) Peripheral power cables.
Misnomered as 'Molex',

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#peripheral

E) Needs one 4-pin (Small) Peripheral power cable, for the Card Reader.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#floppy

Also needs 300 Watts.
A Power Supply like this one would work,

Will a NVIDIA GeForce gt 610 graphics processor work on a Dell Dimension 2400 PC Desktop

YES, Zian it will work....BUT,....................

1) It is a PCI graphics card, and uses a PCI expansion slot.

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2898922&CatId=319

The Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop PC's motherboard, has three long white PCI slots,

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2400/en/sm_en/techov.htm#1105465

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Dimension-2400-Desktop-Motherboard-System-Main-Board-F5949-K5148-G1548-/190750417467?pt=Motherboards&hash=item2c699c623b

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conventional_PCI

If one of those long white PCI slots is open, you can use a PCI graphics card.

Concerned that the graphics card uses DDR3 graphics memory, and your computer only uses DDR Sdram ram memory?

Don't be.

The graphics card has it's own processor (Graphics Processing Unit), and graphics memory.
It runs independent of the system resources; the Processor and Ram Memory.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPU

The concern is the Power Supply.
Original power supply's maximum rated Wattage is either 200 Watts, or 250 Watts.

The above graphics card requires a minimum system requirement/power supply requirement; of 300 Watts.

I would recommend replacing the Power Supply.
(Especially with it's age, if it is still the same one)

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1389575&CatId=1078

ONE thing though..............
Watch the 20-pin ATX main power cable connector, and the wires in it. Be sure they are in the standard place setup.

Check the pinout, and color code of the wires,

1) Dell Dimension 2400 desktop computer, 20-pin ATX main power cable connector pinout,

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2400/en/sm_en/techov.htm#1105612

2) STANDARD 20-pin ATX main cable connector pinout, and color code of wires; as set by JEDEC,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain20

[Be aware that the ATX main power cable, and connector, you get with a new power supply; such as the above, will have a 20 =4-pin ATX main power cable connector,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain20plus4

Use the 20-pin connector, tie the 4-pin power cable up out of the way]

For a time period Dell was making the motherboard's main power cable connector - Proprietary.
Meaning they has that motherboard connector wire pinout changed.
Colors of wires were in a different place, than the standard setup by JEDEC.

Orange wires are 3.3 Volts (DC)
Red wires are 5 Volts (DC)
Yellow wires are 12 Volts (DC)
Black wires are Ground wires.

Guess what happens if a 12 Volt Yellow wire, is plugged into where a Black Ground wire is supposed to be?

ZZZZZZzzzzt! Motherboard fries, processor fries, ram memory fries, and graphics card. (If used)

Check the color code of the wires, in the 20-pin ATX main power cable's CONNECTOR, for the Dimension 2400's power supply.

Canon G2 digital connector is loose inside the camera. Cannot connect.

You have to go like a surgeon, get the loose part and resolder it back on the board. Sounds easy but it is not - working on those cameras is a bear because they are so small and have so many screws and ............G2 is a great camera - I have 2 of them / go for it. Good luck.

Power Shot G2 camera is at date screen when you turn it on. I changed date battery and it will not let me change the date. Camera has only be used 3 times. The camera powers on and lens moves but it will...

I had a similar problem. I solved it by taking the rear cover off and reseating a ribbon cable that connects the switches to the main circuit board. This connector is hidden under a large plug in connector - also a large copper/plastic ground plane has to be removed for access.

HP Proliant asking for a power-on password

If it is a hardware password, such as the motherboard, the there are two possibilities that I know.

1. Shutdown and unplug the power. Remove the battery on the motherboard wait 30-seconds and replace it.
2. There should be a CMOS reset jumper on the board. Typically, you move it over one pin, power on the board then power down and put it back to reset. Best bet is go to www.hp.com and check Support & Drivers for documentation on your ML350.

If this helps please vote for my solution.

I have .pdf manual of many P5B-V depending on your series. If you want just the main build, go to

https://shop.phirents.ch/downloads/105549.pdf

You should find the pin-out there.

If you need a specific series (ie. P5B-VM) I can e-mail you the specific document.

No boot or wake up

Chances are you need to change the power supply,, but first you need to check to see if its workingm this is quite easy

1.) unplug it
2.) remove the power connector from the main board
3.) on the power connector is a green wire(ONLY ONE) and right next to it is a blact wire(any black will work)
4.) use a peper clip or unisulated wire to bridge the green and black wire by inserting it into the jack contacts.
5.) plug in the power supply, if the fans spins then its working..

If the power supply is fine then you will need to check the power button connectors *wire from power button that connects to the main board),, if the connection is fine, then unjack the connectors and use a bladed screwdriver to bridge the pins for the power button connector on the main board,it should boot up. If not then you need to have that mainboard replaced
