SAN0012 Clip MP3 won't delete files, says disk is write protected

    Agreed: I think they must be rubbish.

    Sliding the HOLD switch back and forth makes no difference. Also mine won't play wma files, only mp3. I'll be taking it back to K-Mart this week.

On the clip drive I was using (Coby product) I got the same message. I found there is a small slide lock on the side of the drive. Just slide it to unlock.

hi Not only your pendirve your computer system is also affected by virus . please check your pendrive with any other computer .before you connected open your pendrive format your pendrive with any other computer. if it will not work you have go for any new pendirve. bye

I plug it into the computer and nothing happens


I depends on what you want to do to it.

Removable media is the mp3 player drives that are viewable through plug-and-play access.

If you want to add music and such to the mp3 player, then you right-click on one of the two disk and select explore.

The right disk should show up in a new window with labeled folders inside..i.e. music.

Drag and drop mp3 files to the appropriate folder to add music, and to delete simply click the file you want deleted and press or click delete.

WHAT I HAD TO DO ,WAS WHEN I PLUGGED MY PLAYER IN, WAS LOOK TO SEE WHAT LETTER IT WAS GIVEN i.E (E/ REMOVABLE , & THEN GO TO THE RUN FILE IN TARTUP, TYPE E:/ & REMOVE THE INFO FROM THAT , TAKE IT OUT , DELETE THE STUFF YOU TOOK OFF OF THE REMOVABLE DRIVE ,& THEN PLUG BACK IN , & SEE IF THAT WORKS, MINE DID GOOD LUCK ( DID IT WITH BOTH THE STICK ,& THE CLIP ON

I had this problem, but with Shuffle on and Hold off, I was able to update the player's memory.

I had this problem too but when I changed button on side off of hold it works just fine I felt so dumb!!!
