may be your keypad might have worn out or your phonse's software might be under problem. try replacing the keypad in your phone and check it out. it it does not work still then remove the user serviceable parts like panels batteries and clean then using a clean damp cotton cloth.be sure the cloth is not much wet to affect the ic's of the phone.it this also does not work get a pro to attend your phone's software problem,
have you tried a master reboot?
Remove the battery. Hold the power key down for 30 seconds while battery is out of phone. Replace battery, and turn on the phone.
I'm not sure if this will work as it may be a defect of your keypad... however, as long as your phone can be turned on, most wireless carriers have a machine that will transfer your numbers to a new phone.
(at least i know verizon does)
