Question about Sony VAIO RB30C (VGCRB30) PC Desktop
Actually drivers are needed for that ,check your device manager for any yellow icon...if you find any yellow icon that means there is a drivers issue and it might be the reason that your audio buttons are not working or keyboard ....

Ya definitely if you are uncomfortable with vista you can install xp ,its good ,i too use xp .but i have installed both operating system xp and vista ....so if you want to install xp go for it..you can also install vista after you have installed xp .but it is not possible to install xp after vista ...so first install xp and than vista only if you want...........and if you need any help after installing xp let me know...
