When i try to play back a tape on my cam it shows a tape icon with yellow wheels and i cant see the picture

Tape mechanism problems can be quite complicated but they can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be diagnosed by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

Tripp Lite OMNI 1000 LCD will not stay on

Turn UPS on: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for one second.
Run a Self-Test: Press and hold the MUTE/TEST button for two seconds (until alarm beeps several times).
The test will last 10 seconds. All LCD Display icons will be illuminated and the alarm will sound.
If the fault icon remains lit, the battery-supplied outlets are overloaded. Unplug powered devices until you remove the overload.
If the "Replace" icon remains lit and alarm continues to sound, the UPS batteries need to be recharged or replaced. Allow UPS to charge for 24 hours and repeat self-test.

Sony Camcorder DCR-TVR140 NTSC does not recognize tape in camera

daer
this error C:31:23 is related to the s reel and this occurs only when the tension of the tape is more,
solution:
1 st try to change the tape
if the problem persists then u need to take it to the service center as the tape path of the mechanical section is to be adjusted
as you are telling that your camcorder is not showing remaining time (time code ) then head assy. also need to be cleaned ..try to use cleaning tape for 10 sec. not more then that .

Bad sound i have to turn it up all the way to hear it?

It would be much easier to help you if I knew what type of receiver you have.

You can try this for any type of receiver:

Check to see if the "tape 2" or "tape monitor" or just "monitor" switch has been activated. It should show a small icon or the words in the display somewhere. Even it it does not show in the display, try pressing the "tape 2" or "tape monitor" or "monitor" switch. Make sure the volume is not turned up all the way when you do this, it could cause damage to the speakers or receiver it the speakers come on full blast.

let me know if this helps, if not tell me what the make and model number is of the receiver.
