You will need the factory service manual available for purchase from your Printronix dealer.

I have a Dell 1700 laser printer. During tornado, trees downed lined which landed in my yard. Anything with a power light on blew out. My computer just needed a new power supply, and it is fine now. I'm...

Well first it could be anything that blew on the device. First thing would be to check the power supply with a volt meter. Touch the barrel and the tip of the power supply and insure its sending the voltage that it specifies on the unit. If it isnt sending power the power supply blew. IF not it could be an internal problem. But let me know what happens from when you test the power supply with a volt meter and we will go from there. Thanks, Midwest-tek.

Won't initialize, leds on blank display

No led lights mean no 5 volts. 5 volts run all the logic. Check power from the wall, replace the power supply.

HP 8150DN I got 50.1 Error message so I replace low voltage power supply and know I get 51.1 error message now

Yes, 50.1 refers to the fuser, and that is very easily replaceable. (no tools) However, in the 8100, you have a 75% chance that it is indeed the low volt power supply. The low volt power supply powers the fuser.

As a service approach, I always replace the fuser first because it is so easy to do and we always have them in stock.

If that does NOT clear the error, then we KNOW it is the low volt power supply. That is a very straightforward repair.

Dell 922

Have you unplugged it from the wall for a few minutes? That will flush the memory and give it a clean start. Below is some other info I found. Power supplies, use technology to convert the AC input to lower DC voltages. The typical voltages supplied are: * 3.3 volts * 5 volts * 12 volts Good Luck, Tim

I860 power supply apparently bad

Same problem here, 7 & 14 volts instead of 24 & 27...  No luck finding one either, except for one in germany on ebay that doesn't ship overseas.
