Question about Amplifiers & Preamps
My 30-year old Sansui receiver model G7500 takes more than five minutes to turn on the green ligh, when the green light turns on everything is fine. When the green light is on, I turn it off and turn it on, it takes only few seconds.
Would you suggest me what cause this problem and how to fix and what parts should be replaced.
Thank you vere much
Thank you very much for your suggestion to solve the problem. When I turn on the power switch all lights are on except the green light that indicate the receiver is ready to function. in normal, it will turn on after 20 seconds, now I have to wait more than 5 minutes. I have replaced some transistors and capacitors. It seems better. Before I replaced these things, it would not start even waiting for more than half hours.
I want to replace two more things, I think it might help. it is a square black thing with four legs, one of the legs connected to the hole has + sign, the other 3 legs to the holes without any sign. It has # RB152 BNC it might be a rectifier and a capacitor 1000uF 63V with 3 legs at the bottom. the leg in the center connected to negative sign, I have not seen a capacitor like this before. These things might relate to power supply as you mentioned in your email. Please show me where I can get them.
I am not a electronic professional or repairman, just a hobbyist, I learn some electronic courses a long time ago. I really appreciate you remind me for my personal safety. I will remember your advice.
