Sansui receiver takes more than five minutes to start

Hi Sir,
My 30-year old Sansui receiver model G7500 takes more than five minutes to turn on the green ligh, when the green light turns on everything is fine. When the green light is on, I turn it off and turn it on, it takes only few seconds.
Would you suggest me what cause this problem and how to fix and what parts should be replaced.

Thank you vere much

    Hi Sir,

Thank you for giving me quick answer but I think my problem is not the green light, the problem is I have to wait more than 5 minutes to warm up the receiver after that the green light will turn on, everything will work perfectly. Do you think a relay transistor, capacitor will cause this problem?

    thank you again.

Dear Headman,
Thank you very much for your suggestion to solve the problem. When I turn on the power switch all lights are on except the green light that indicate the receiver is ready to function. in normal, it will turn on after 20 seconds, now I have to wait more than 5 minutes. I have replaced some transistors and capacitors. It seems better. Before I replaced these things, it would not start even waiting for more than half hours.
I want to replace two more things, I think it might help. it is a square black thing with four legs, one of the legs connected to the hole has + sign, the other 3 legs to the holes without any sign. It has # RB152 BNC it might be a rectifier and a capacitor 1000uF 63V with 3 legs at the bottom. the leg in the center connected to negative sign, I have not seen a capacitor like this before. These things might relate to power supply as you mentioned in your email. Please show me where I can get them.
I am not a electronic professional or repairman, just a hobbyist, I learn some electronic courses a long time ago. I really appreciate you remind me for my personal safety. I will remember your advice.

You should replace the green light (led).

If that is the case i would suggest that you check the power supply of your receiver. Here's how you do it, turn on your receiver then find a station. If you fail to find one, before the green light turns on maybe your power supply is in trouble. If you don't have enough knowledge on electricity i cannot suggest you to check the output of your power supply because it is very harmful to do so. You better have someone to do it for you.

    I hope this is helpful.

Please rate me if it done good to you.

I have a Sansui G-4700 Pure Power DC Stereo Receiver. We were happy with it for many years. Five years ago, we moved from a house to a condo, and it has been in storage since the move. I am thinking of...

Of course it will work with any standard stereo RCA source (which just about everything STILL has) but it won't work directly with any digital sources. It has NO digital interfaces.

Balance control switch on sansui model R-5( 30 year old unit) no longer works on one side. How do i replace or fix?

The control is probably just dirty after all those years, try some switch cleaner-don't use WD40-preferably switch cleaner with added lubricant, sprayed in and work the control back and forth. Good luck.
