Where to connect video plug

I got an old GE ( model 25GT240) commercial skip Tv from a friend. Now I want to connect my philips DVD player to it. Where should I connect the composite video cable ( yellow plug) and audio cables ( Red and White) from the dvd on the TV ? On the back of the TV, I can see only antinaa plug and another two slots which are marked F(Focus) and S(Screen).
Thanks In Advance

Go to a department store and get an RF converter they are relatively cheap any more maybe 10 buck or so.. follow the instructions that come with they are real easy to hook up.

Old TV

I can assume the input for your tv has only a coax input to it. Meaning a threaded connector on the back. If so, first connect the Wii to the input of the dvd player, second, from the output of the dvd player, this is where your solution is needed. run a coax cable from the tv to the DVD player and at the dvd player you will need an adapter from your local Radio Shack or electronics store. It should be a female coax to RCA adapter (male Red White and Yellow).Red and white for audio and yellow for video. Post a pic of the back of the tv if this doesnt solve it for you. Good luck, fingers crossed.

Can't figure out how to turn switch to the input channel for our DVD player we plugged into it. Any help?

Try inputing channel "00". Some of the GE's used this setup. Other than that you need a video button or input button on the remote. Thanks. I hope this helps.

DTV converter box needs specific channel

My GE tv, an older model, no longer works on channels 3 or 4 while hooked to my DVD/VHS player. I have to set my tv to channel 91 and I use the player to change channels.

No video audio connecters

If you have a VCR with RCA inputs and coax (cable) output to TV, try plugging the DVD players RCA outputs (L/R audio, composite video) to VCR RCA inputs. Then select the DVD input on the VCR and it shoud play just as a the VCR does. If you don't have a VCR, an RF modulator might be needed, but a VCR would probably be cheaper.

No manual to figure out how to configure video settings for games

It's March 30, 2009 and I just tried hooking this same tv up with the DVD player. No remote and was ready to throw the TV out the window. Another question on this same site helped me figured it out. There is no input button. You have to plug the DVD or video system in and then go to channel 91. That's the default channel for input 1. Strange but it worked.

No jacks in the back

Hi,

This is a very basic TV with only a single ANT/CABLE/RF INput. If you intend to use a DVD player whose outputs are the yellow, red & white RCA, then you would need either:
1. an RF modulator similar to this one or
2. use an old VCR to accept the yellow, red & white RCA cables as INputs. The VCR would then have to be connected to the ANT/CABLE/RF INput using an RF patch cord. The TV wold then have to be tuned to either Channel 3 or 4.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I can't get my DVD to play on my GE 25GT240 25" TV

I'm not sure, but, if you use the channel down button on the television (below channel 2), the set may go to the video inputs. If not a local retailer should have an inexpensive universal remote that would work on this set and have an input or tv/video button. If you use a cable box, the remote can be programed also. If you need more help, reply to this post and I can come up with more solutions when I get to my shop next
