Question about Sharp AL-1642CS Copier
Tray 1 is full on my Sharp AL-1642CS but when it ties to print to tray 1 the 'P' keeps flashing and won't allow me to switch to a different tray. I have to shut it off to reset it. Even though I have tray 2 as default in the printer settings on my computers it doesn't always send printing to tray 2 (depends on program).
Sharp won't help, they want me to send the printer back with $175 before they will help! How can I reset this wrongly flashing 'P' (out of paper code) to get things back to normal? Or how can I reset tray 2 as the default in the printer itself?
Pull both trays out.....have a look in tray 2, is there a switch sensor actuator hanging down yes........is there a similar one in tray one?
No? They get knocked off and lost very easily
