Hamilton beach 950 cover removal

I am trying to change the motor in a Hamilton Beach 950 drink mixer. The trouble I am having is with the cover. I can only see two screws that hold the cover on. That side will lift up, but the front side wants to stay in place. I don't want to force it and snap the cover. Is there a trick to removing the cover?
Thank you,
Rob

Thank you for your info. Removing the motor module from the machine is not the problem. I am trying to remove the motor and shaft from the module. The problem is that I can't figure out how to remove the cover of the motor module. Any info would be helpful.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the help.
I tried the squeeze method. No luck. Have you had experience with this model of mixer?
    Thank you.

I got it! There are two screws hidden under the metal name plate on the front of the unit. That made all the difference in the world. Repair is finished.
    Thanks.

Look on the underside, under the feet. You may be able o find screws there that attach the front portion..

Here is the maintenance manual for your model:
    http://useandcares.hamiltonbeach.com/fil...

Page 7 in the manual explains how to disassemble and reinstall the motor.

Hope that helps. Kindly take a moment to "Accept" this solution if you the manual helped you.

I'm having the exact same problem as ICC Man, if he reads this message maybe he can explain a little more how he was able to take off the cover. He says that there are 2 hidden screws under the metal name plate on the front of the unit. Each of the 3 units has a name in front which is not really metal, but some sort of plastic sticker, and my question would be, are the screws under the sticker? if I remove the sticker i feel that would ruin the looks? can the sticker be replaced with any damage to it? Thaks for the help.

You can always stick them back using some sort of epoxy resin glue, to keep the look :)

Just press in two sides and remove it

if u dont see a screw you will have to press at side and remove this.

but see to that you do it softly.

    dont do any rough handling.

because the covers may be jammed also.

Trying to take apart the hamilton beach stand mixer to fix it

There should be a few screws on the underside that will allow you to remove the top. You may have to take the head off the base to do this.

Stand Mixer

Model H was discontinued in the 70's. You might find beaters either directly from Hamilton Beach or on Ebay. There aren't many small appliance repair shops any more, everything now, is considered disposable.
