Question about Hitachi Televison & Video

1 Answer

Hitachi CP-X990W projector does turn on after being in standby mode Shows orange LED on bottom under label saying Power. The only way I am able to fix it is to pull out the main power for 10-20 seconds put the power back in and press power button. Very annoying when I have 11 of the darn things and they intermittently do it from time to time requiring a ladder to get to them all. They are 6 years old still have great picture but just wont turn on. Please Help If you have any ideas or tips please chat.

When switch on power LED comes on and goes off in about 7 seconds and then the STATUS LED comes on. Please tell me what I can try.

if you have the habit of leaving your device in standby mode (switching off in remote only and switching off the power supply), you have to consult a service perssonnel and get your circuit chip dealing with the power supply inside your device. it might have busted up if you have the practice that i specified. please do not leave your device in stand by mode for a long time..

Hitachi 50UX26B

Good day, seanhanna;

Hitachi has LED’s, green ‘lights’ and a red light to determine what circuit may be the problem; after removing the back of TV, bottom only, plug TV back in and observe which LED’s come on …..BUT most important which LED’s don’t come on; locate and note number, EG; DP37 and etc.

Good luck, big IRISH. Ps let me know.

When i turn the tv on I hear the click but the tv won't go on

If it has the power LED on usually you have a loose cable, your projectors may be messed up, or something inside needs replacement. It's very expensive in most cases.

Re: standby mode???

No really the standby mode dosent mean the sets fried or unrepairable. It just means that the sets in a shutdown mode till a power supply problem is corrected. They have shut down protection when the power supply dosent regulate the b+ and if it didnt shut down it would give off tons of X type radiation. thats just a safty on the set. seek a pro to assist you in repairing the set. Good Luck
