Cant find password for Belkin F5D9230-4 G plus mimo router

If you are talking about the password to log in and make changes to router settings, according to the user manual for this router, found HERE, the default password is no password, in other words, leave it blank. If that doesn't work that means someone put a password on it and you will need to reset the router in order to log back in and make changes. If you need help with that, refer to the manual, or reply back to this message and I will help walk you through it.

After my computer stands untouched for about 30min I suddenly cant connect to the Internet using IE ( eventhough my connection says that im still online, but cant open any webpages ) sometimes I play poker...

To check the status of this sequence, you can simply log in to the routers interface and click the STATUS TAB.

If this sequence never fully completes or doesn't complete properly, try power-cycling both the modem and the router at the same time. Please remember to reconnect the power to the modem first and then the router. Please allow a few moments for the devices to initialize and "sync" up.

Also consider to reset the router to factory settings. Here is how:

Step 1 With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back on the unit labeled Reset.

reset.gif

Step 2 Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.

Note: Do not repower unit during this procedure.

Step 3 The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Resetting the router does not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back to factory defaults.

Note: The factory defaults username is admin, and there is no password.

New password

In order to enter passwords, and secure your wireless network, you must log onto your wireless router's configuration settings page (the webpage used to initially setup the router). To get to this page, you must enter the router's ip address (192.168.1.1 by default for Linksys routers) as the url (i.e. http://192.168.1.1). Once you do this, you will be asked for a username and password (Username: admin, or <blank>, and Password: admin, by default). Successfully logging in should bring you to the router's settings page. From here, you can go to the administrator tab, change the login password**, or go to the wireless tab, wireless security sub-tab, select a type of encryption if desired (WPA2-Personal/PSK or WPA recommended), and set the desired passkey**.
**NOTE: When changing settings, before going to another page, make sure to click Save Settings at the bottom of each page to keep the settings.
Here is a page to help with what you can do in order to secure the router further.

Lost wep passphrase, can't navigate

There are two ways of going at this problem:
  1. Connect your computer to the router using an ethernet cable. Open up your router's configuration settings (the webpage used to setup your router). To do this, open a web browser, and type in your router's IP Address in the browser's address bar (i.e. 192.168.0.1). A window should pop up asking for a username and password. Enter your username, and password (if you haven't set a new password, the default log in is username:admin, password: (blank)), and then you will be brought to the webpage. Once you are here, look for the wireless-security area of the site, and go to it. Under this area, there should be a passkey/passphrase bar. You change it, or just see what it is.
  2. Use a wep passkey recovery software.

Change modarate to open

Which router? there's so many of them. normally oyu have to log into your router and set the device up that way. this can be achieved by going to the "Gateway" in your webpage address and with the proper credientials logging in with the administrator information. HINT - sometimes on some routers you can hit the reset switch and it clears everything out of it and then you can log in as the fefault admin account (some makes/models web address 192.168.1.1 user admin password admin) Hope this helps, without more information about the device tho it's kind of a stab in the dark :)

Lost password

You have to be at the router to do this.

1 - Find the reset switch on the router (should be on the back). That will reset the router to factory defaults.
2 - Using a web browser, type in the address 192.168.1.1 - this will get you into the router's web management interface.
3 - Log into the router. User name is "admin", password is "admin". Once logged in, change those, and set your router up again.

There is no way to recover the old password, if you forget it. Sorry, but that is for your own security.

Cheers

Need help getting wireless netgear to work with lap top. Lap top was reconfigured and don't have old password.

If you don't have the wireless password for your wireless connection. The thing to do is log into the Router's webpage via the Router's IP address. From there you can go to the wireless section and in most routers this section shows the wireless password.

If you have trouble getting on to the Router's webpage. Just comment back on this and I can probably step you through it.
