The problem is most likely that there is still water residue at the bottom of your machine. If the machine is not fully drained it picks up some of the residue and sprays that onto the dishes during the final rinse, leaving an unhealthy and unsightly film on everything.
Remove the bottom strainers plates and make sure that the outlet pipe is not kinked, that there is nothing obstructing the pipe or the pump or selector valve. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine once more before using it again.

the problem is hard water leaving the residue. go to www.dishwasherfilter.com and get the dishwasher filtration system. it will reduce the hard minerals that leave the residue and your dishes will be clean as can be. it is very affordable and fits right under your sink.
In my case the counter mounted breather for the drain tube was being restricted ... finally to the point it would not drain the tub at all. I disassembled the above counter drain assembly and cleaned it out as it wass completely blocked and things work very well again. I would suggest this foirst as it is an easy task and is done 'above the counter'.
I then ran 2 cups of CLR with wash cycle ... no dishes to clean out the rest of the washer as on dissaembly of the internals to diagnose they were and very scummed up with a hard white crusty substance that was completely blocking some of the drain sump performations.
