Suddenly, the coffee is coming out in spurts(not one steady flow). The amount of coffee produced is half of what is used to be. We have tried rinsing the machine and it will not let us descale it. We are very frustrated because we use this thing several times a day.HELP!!
Try descaling it manually- by adding the descaler into the tank, letting the machine warm up and then open the water spout to fill one cup at a time. wait 15min. in between. Also clean brew group and grinder.

Your brew unit may be set in the wrong position inside the machine if someone has had it out to clean or try to fix. The unit has two positions open and neutral when putting back into the machine it should be neutral. This is something I would try first. Now if it is in the open position you will need to reset it. Resetting is better explained on video so I have put a link for a Youtube video. This guy is great and guides you through step by step. Hope this works for you good luck. Please post and let me know.
Cheers How to Remove Stuck Brew Unit Q
Hi Dosage lever or knob (small knob in the bean hopper) is to the max positive and the brew unit can not
compress the coffee, so the machine dumps it into the dredge drawer to
prevent breaking the machine. Reduce the amount by 1 click back from the
full positive, and that should take care of the problem.
Another thing that can cause this is the grind is too coarse or the
grinder has come apart. The grinds should look like coarse sugar. PS. It will usually work if the brew unit is clean, but when it is used once it will go back to dumping dry grounds.
Hi, adjust coffee amount knob more towards +, which will grind more coffee for brewing. The knob is the smaller one inside the bean hopper. If the machine has digital display(Incanto Deluxe) it can be set in the menu.
Subject: How to drain boiler of Saeco Incanto Deluxe
I got an answer from Saeco Customer Service as follows:
All you need to do is have the machine turned on and up to temperature. Make sure that you have a full tank of water as well. Make sure the machine is set for hot water, then turn the knob on the side of the machine to start water flow. Once the water is flowing out, remove the water tank and, leaving the knob turned open so that the water that's in the system drains out. Once water stops coming out, close the knob and shut the machine off. The water is now drained from the system.

Check the end of the steam nozzle, make sure it is not blocked. If not then with the knob open for hot water cycle push in on the knob if that works then the tap rod assemble or the steam valve needs to be replaced.
