I have a hunter ceiling fan. The motor works fine, but the light blinks on an off rapidly when switched on. The pull chain works but the light does the same thing. Do I need to replace the entire fan?

NO YOU DO NOT !! there is a little black box on inside of fan that controls the lights, its a ( watt governor ). just remove this black box and wire directly to the lights. problem should be fixed !! have a good day !! this is another goverment quick fix.

My control won't activate the light on my Hunter fan. The light comes on via pull chain fine, and the control works the 3 speeds on the fan, but the light won't respond.
Check the wiring on your receiver to make sure the light wire is connected.You have to have the light on with the pull chain and then use the remote to turn it on/off.

It might be your receiver that's your problem. Try replacing it and it should work.

Usually you have to press the light switch 3 times and hold to get dim effect adjustments, it is often radio transmitted in some newer models, if the pull switch is bad replace it anyways it could be dangerous if let alone!
