Hello heart3125,

Sorry to hear about your Insignia Pilot® MP3 player. Your local Best Buy™ store can help you get the unit sent out for repair. Unfortunately any impact damage would not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty or any service plan that you may have so you would have to pay for the repairs.

Best Regards,
Ken

Will not power up

Mine did that too. Don't know if it was the problem but I pulled out the headphone jack and it started up, when I plugged the headphones back in, it went off again, but when I pulled it out it started up again. I plugged the headphones back in and it worked this time. Maybe there's a flaw in mine, I was playing with the headphones before it died, not pulling it out or anything but twisting it (yes, I know that could probably tear that up but I only did it once because the jack was slipping out.)

Can't pair bluetooth headphones with Insignia Pilot MP3 player

the directions from Samsung to pair the headset was way off. You need to hold down the main button then turn on the headset. Only then will the headset go into pairing mode by maintaining a solid blue light. It took me a couple of days of troubleshooting and experimenting to realize this pairing method. I just hope that this problem is only due to my headset because I assume a lot of people who buy this headset and try out Samsung's directions will become very frustrated. I almost returned the product and I am sure many others would too.

Bluetooth/ Insignia mp3

Hi MzM1990,

You can find lots of useful product information about your Insignia MP3 player on the manufacturer's website located at: http://www.insignia-products.com.

(The actual product page for your MP3 player is located at http://www.insignia-products.com/pc-289-22-insignia-pilot-8gb-video-mp3-player-with-bluetooth-technology.aspx)

I'd recommend downloading the User's Manual. The instructions on how to connect the MP3 player to Bluetooth compatible headphones are located on pages 27-29 of the manual.

NOTE that the wireless headphones MUST be A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) compatible to use this feature. If your headphones are also AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) compatible then you will also be able to adjust some settings of the MP3 player (such as play/pause, skip forward/backward and control the volume) wirelessly. Check the documentation on your headphones to ensure compatability.

Best regards.
Ken
