I replaced the fusible link fl231 and tv worked fine for about 2 hours then fuse blew out again. Suspect a faulty power supply but would need a schematic to trace to discrete components. Would you know of a place to get a hold of one or is there one available for download. Any help would be appreciated!

Re: HD52W59 Convergence problem
DId you solder the flyback transformer connections..... This is the main reason these fuses fail. THe flyback is the big black component next to the fuse. poor solder connection cause oscillations.. this fuse is only .4 amps whish dosent stand up to that well.. resolder these pins on the flyback.... the first time i replaced this fuse i failed to solder played well for 2 days then came back blown again

If you replace just the fl231 it will blow again. You will need to replace the FL231,DL231 and CP230. You can get the parts at the following link with free instructions with pictures total cost is about 26.00. Its listed under the RCA repair kits as the ITC222 & ITC222A convergence option missing repair kit. Its available at www.tvrepairworld.com
The tv is have a problems call convergence,it dead.U have all the tools like soldering iron, solder and desoldering pump.Know basic soldering? The convergence fuses FL231 three of them on the right side of FBT,a big block of plastic of a flyback transformer.Resoder the FBT,replaced the convergence fuse FL231 in the middle. The Ebay.com sell the convergence fuse.

i have found the reason for the fl231 fuse blowing is faulty solder connections on the flyback transformer is the main cause. I have came across only one bad signal board that cause this but this was very very rare 1 in 1000. This is a very specific fuse, .400 and it is recomended only to replace with exacte one. consult the fl231 problem in the tips and tricks section.
THe rca itc222 chasis has No convergence ics it uses a series of transistors to do the same. YOU replaced the Fl231 fuse and it blew. Did you resolder flyback connections. this is why the fuses blow. check out the article under the tips and tricks section written by me willtab ... see if this helps if not let me know .. i see alot of these at the shop ( i got one right now in front of me with the FL231 probelem LOL) if can let me know i give you help
yes, thats the replacement fuse for your set. However unless you have replaced the convergence power supply also chances are the fuse will blow again, as the power supply shorting is what causes the convergence to get out of alignment and it will then blow FL231 thereby removing the convergence option from the menu.
This is an indication that the convergence amps are drawing too much current which has an effect on the power supply and thus killing your sound by removing or lowering the voltage supplied to that stage, finally this results in the blowing of the fuse. I would suggest that you change the convergence amplifiers and the biasing resistors (All of them) and then see if this corrects your problem (I believe it will). Also get a schematic of the TV and try to find out how the power supply relates the sound module and the convergence module, they might share a common power bus, or the voltage regulator for the sound also feeds the convergence board.
Did you chane your ICs recently? If so did you replace the resistor near the ics? These resistors often fail and if you replace the convergence ICs without replacing them they will take out the new ICs quickly.
