SOURCE: Nikon N70

Nikon should have a down loadable manual available for this model.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a nikon n65 and there is a blinking F- - what does that mean?

The F-- indicates that the camera isn't communicating with the lens. If you have an old mechanical lens with no electronics, you'll have to set the camera to the Manual exposure mode (turn the mode dial to M) and shoot without any help from the camera's light meter.

If you're using a newer AF lens with electronics, clean the electrical contacts on the back of the lens and in the mount on the camera body.

Can anyone help mine seems to be locked i can't wind or click the take picture button ?

Start with cleaning the battery cap and contact inside the camera with a pencil eraser to make them shiny. A fresh set of S76 button cells would be the next step. The camera is electronic and requires battery power to operate.

Camera wont let me take any pictures it just says FEE?

That usually means that the lens you have mounted on the camera is not set to its smallest aperture (ie 22). It needs to be set that way so that the camera can control the full spectrum of aperture positions when shooting in one of the auto program modes.

Cant figure out where the shutter release cable hooks up oncamera

Sorry my friend, but the HTsi model lacks facility for a cable release. Use the self timer on a tripod instead to eliminate camera shake

Here's the link to a user guide if you don't already have one:

What is the "light" or just red color at the bottom near the "open" the back button of my Minolta Maxxum 5 camera?

Elizabeth,

What you are describing is the film chamber lock indicator. Basically, once a film is loaded, you cannot accidentally (or intentionally!) open the camera until the film has been fully rewound. This is to prevent you ruining a film. The red indicator is just to let you know it's locked.

More details are on page 23 of the camera's manual. If you haven't got one, you can download it from here.

Not a perfect solution, but you can get a free (but a contribution accepted) manual for the Sigma SA-5 at http://www.butkus.org/chinon/sigma.htm

I would check Nikon's website. Most manufacturers have the manual on line as a PDF file, and/or a FAQ that describes common problems and solutions. Otherwise, see if there is a tech help email address or phone number.

Also, I just tried the delayed picture-taking lever, ??????? you mean self timer. if you have used self timer then unless the cycle is completed the camera will stuck in the middle, with the mirror locked up. Try releasing the self timer by moving the lever manually. if nothing major defect is theirin the self timer it will release by doing this.
