Question about HP Photosmart 2610xi All-In-One InkJet Printer
My HP 2610xi ran out of ink; so I changed both cartridges - Black (HP 94) and Color (first tried with HP 95 and then with HP 97). No issues with the Black Cartridge but the printer refuses to recognize the color cartridge - neither of them; keep complaining to check the cartridge.
I tried, re-inserting, wiping the contacts, unplugging the printer for a hard boot - all for no avail!
It won't allow me to even bypass the error and work with just the black cartridge!
Can you please help?
Really appreciate it,
If you look in the 96 (Black) cartridge loading area you might see that the retention spring has poked a hole in the circut board. I am now either trying to replace the ink cartridge holder or purchace a new printer. I have about $70.00 in new ink that I can't use now. The 2610xi worked great until the spring popped out of its holder.
