Check the power supply - does the computer turn on and just sit at the boot screen with an error message? If the power light on the front is not on when you press the power button, your power supply might be faulty. Check the power cable to make sure it's connected properly.
Next, if the computer power light comes on but nothing displays on the screen, make sure that the video/monitor cable is connected properly. If nothing is displayed still, the CPU, memory, video card, or motherboard might be faulty. Most likely is your motherboard. You may be able to find a replacement one on the internet, or it might just be more cost effective to get a new computer.

Hi My acer t135 will not boot up properly when

First of all you must recover your files: download and burn a Linux Live-CD, boot from it and move your files to an USB stick.
All older Acer's have a hidden recovery partition. Check in the BIOS (F2 to boot on my Acer): that Acer Disk to Disk Recovery is activated in the Main panel, which D2D Recovery is well on Enabled. To access it press ALT + F10 once the Acer logo is displayed.
If you don't have one borrow from a friend a retail XP disk and do a Repair or Inplace Upgrade install.

Acer Aspire85 wont boot anything

You need to get into Bios Setup when the pc first starts.

I am not sure but I think the F2 key lets you into Bios Setup

The primary boot device needs to be the Cdrom drive.

The starting order for the pc needs to be set to
1st Cdrom
2nd HDD

You should then be able to install Vista.

ACER RECOVERY HELP!!!

It comes as part of the package when you bought it.
It's already on the hard drive. Acer recommend you make a recovery disk before you start using the machine.

This is from Acer's Website.

Problem:
How can I launch Acer eRecovery Management to back up or restore my system?

Solution:
You can press <Alt+F10> or the Empowering Key to launch in a Windows environment, or press <Alt+F10> during boot up. For the Veriton desktop series, you can also press the hardware reset button at any time. For the Aspire or AcerPower desktop series, an Acer eRecovery Management icon can be found on the desktop screen.

Hope it helps.
