Hello btexpresss,

Sorry to hear about your Zune. Unfortuantely, liquid damage is not covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty or Best Buy's™ Performance Service Plan. The unit may still be repairable but those repairs are not going to be covered by the service plan.

Best Regards,
Ken

My ipod got got in the washer and got washed

Yes there is something you can do. Put rice in a sealable container and place your ipod in the rice. try to cover the ipod completely. the rice is a good sponge for water and it is almost the only way you can fix a waterlogged ipod.

MP3 player -Zune not working

Just reset the Zune by holding the left button and the up portion of the center control continuously until the screen goes blank. Release both and the unit will reboot.

Here's a Youtube showing the process: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BqqlDwtYbQ

If this doesn't work, contact MS to get a warranty replacement.

Assuming it does work, be sure to check that you have the latest version of the Zune SW as new units are usually several versions old and updating your unit will make it more reliable in my experience.

I left my zune in my pants pocket and washed it. what do i do and do i kneed to toss it and buy a new one?

I s'pose the Zune is nice & clean now ;-)

.. I take it the device no longer works, right? If so, simplest & most expensive thing to do is to toss it & get another.
.. Since you voided the warranty by getting it wet, then you could also try opening the case and letting it dry out. This probably will NOT work since the drive is physical and that alone will be water-logged.
.. Check out this site for info on how to open your 30gig Zune. Read it first before attempting!!!

My 30 gb zune is frozen

There's a fix:

Your zune will need a "hard reset."

To do this, use a small screwdriver to pop off the plastic shielding where the zune cable plugs into and remove the two screws on either side of the plug. Next pop the cover off and locate the battery plug at the top left corner of the zune, using your screw driver, pop the cable connection half way off, and do this to the other plug on the right side. Wait 3 seconds, then push down the right connector and then the left battery connecter. Your zune should start up immediately. Press the backing of the zune down (make sure headphone jack is aligned) and put the screws and cover back in place.

It's an easy process but if you're unsure don't attempt it.

How can i change my batteries on a microsoft zune

do not attempt to even open the zune because if it's new and it has a warranty and if you open it, it voids the warranty. and you could wreck it. bring it to where it was purchased an ask them if the warranty covers it if it has one.

Zune

most new electronics have a 1yr parts/labor and when purchased from retailers, the serial # is recorded and may or may not list purchaser information! Let me guess, you paid in cash? but you might also see if Zune has any info as well! The warranties are implied and as long as it has not expired or you remeber getting an extended warr...you should be covered
