Bosch 2700ES Natural Gas AquaStar AquaStar 2700ES Tankless Water Heat Logo

I want to send this back. I have had it for a year. Free tech support is a joke. 6 hours on the phone in one day and hung up on 4 times. Has anyone had any success getting a lemon law return success or is there any type of class action lawsuit against them. No one in the charlotte area will work on them . I am very capable but they are impossible. All they do is ask questions and try to get any way not to have to warranty their product. This was the worst purchase I have ever made and I would love to return this unit for a partial refund.

There should be a class action lawsuit.
Fixya is filled with unanswered questions about tankless water heaters
Manufacturers have protected themselves by limiting their warranty to installations done by people trained in that specific brand.
And then if you have a problem, the manufacturer refers you back to the installer.
If you install tankless yourself, there is no warranty if I understand the industry correctly.

Tankless promoters have not been crystal clear about the pitfalls.
The government has touted tankless as 'energy star' when that claim is dubious at best.
The internet is absolutely filled with promotion articles that claim high value of the product, without frank discussion of the pitfalls.
The savings and claims made by promoters has become a bit more tame over the past year or two, which implies that lawsuits are pending.
But if you read tankless promotion, they make dual and contradictory claims each time: They say the tankless will save energy, and provide endless hot water.
That is impossible with the barest of math because tankless use more energy per gallon of water heated, so if you consume endless hot water, the claim of energy savings is completely false.
Moreover, many promotions claim longer life for tankless units, yet the product is besieged with complaints, and the warranty papers do not reflect the promotion words.
I don't know what persuaded you to buy a tankless.
I believe there has been collusion and misrepresentation of the product.
Call some lawyers, but I suspect the industry is protected.

Hi, I have a Bosch tf 400 ng 1tr, about 7 years old, just today it started producing only 1/2 the heat. Any suggestions ( I have gas experience on cookers and stoves) so I should be able to fix if I'm...

You ask for free nudge:
I have links for resourceful do-it-yourselfer since tankless is large and developing field that can take years of study.
For example tankless are prone to lime build-up and must be de-limed each year. Search utube for 'delime tankless' to help restore efficiency.

Best place to start is troubleshoot section in your product manual.

I have a Lang Autocirc with timer for 11 years. The past few months water not getting hot I timed how long hot water takes in faucet before \unit by 6' and faucet just after unit and times the same over 2...

Autocirc can be uninstalled and the pipe cleaned out with CLR (calcium lime and rust), otherwise there are no repair parts.
Once the motor begins to slow, it overheats and burns out.
11 years is a good run, so you must have good water or are careful about your water softener.

http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-recirculation-system.html
Using the timer and running Autocirc 1 hour a day costs between $11 and $17 per year to operate.
2 hours a day is $22-34 per year.
This includes pump operation and additional time that water heater operates.

Pilot keeps shutting off needs to be lighted 5 or 6 times in day is there any setting for the pilot it seems to be too low

If you still have your owner's manual, you will need to call the manufacturer. They will need the model # & serial #. Your water heater may have a fine mesh filter screen on the bottom (below the burner) that gets clogged and causes irregular pilot outages. They have a recall in which they will send you a new burner assembly with a reset switch built-in to it. They will send it to you for free, but you will need to hire your local propane co (at your expense) to install it and also clean the filter while they have the burner assembly out. Good luck. Hi, my insinkerator hot water dispenser is leaking from the bottom screw. It is a couple of years old. Moder SST

My unit is 3 1.2 tears old. It started to delay the flowing of hot water. Today I held the lever down until hot water came out but I noticed water leaking from inside the unit. I figured that the tank failed, and since it was over 3 years old I decided to open it up. What I found was that there is a plastic tube at the top of the unit that was very discolored and brittle which developed a crack. when I touched it it completely severed. I called the Insinkerator hotline at 1800-558-5700 and they told me that opening the unit voids the warranty. I said that it appears to be out of warranty and I needed just the plastic tube for repair. The per on on the phone said that as a one time courtesy that a new unit would be shipped to me free of charge and that I could install it myself or they will have a tech do it. I opted to do it myself. Hope this helps

I have whirlpool gas water heater sg1j5040t3nov. It is blinking 6 times which says upper sensor failure. Is this something we can fix. Please advise.

Called whirlpool and explained the problem. They said I need to replace that upper sensor and so they sent me a part in the mail which cost roughly $25. (usd) not including the overnight shipping which is around another $25 or so. This picture is what I received in the mail. Comes with directions of installment. _273.jpg

Paloma PTG 74PV N1 Tankless Water Heater - stops heating

Most likely problem is the remote control not the main board. A safe temporary fix is to unplug the heater from the 110 volt outlet, remove the two low voltage wires from the remote control and use a small wire nut to connect the two conductors together. Plug the heater back into the 110 outlet and the heater should work just fine. The default water temperature is about 118 degrees at the heater. Replace the remote control ASAP.
