Could be a bad keyboard. Should have a technician look at it.

You might be able to find a refurbished keyboard on the internet and plug it in yourself.

    That should fix the problem.

hi

1. make sure that any key is stick on the keyboard,

2. you will have to remove all key, one by one until the beep sound stop.

if the problem continue then, you have to open the case and disconnect the keyboard cable from
the laptop mainboard, close the case. Then use a mini or normal size USB keyboard

hope this helped you to solve the problem

I have an emachine E627 laptop, Recently ******** keeps appearing randomly in text boxes over and over and when you boot up a high pitched alarm sounds continuosly. I have cleaned the keyboard and there...

Definitely sounds like a faulty keyboard. If a key is stuck, you will hear a loud continuous bebebebebebebebebebeep sound on boot up. You can try carefully prying the "*" key off and checking to make sure there isn't anything wedged between the key itself and the little plastic bubble. If you still can't get it to stop, you will have to replace the entire keyboard. A quick search on google reveals that you can pick one up for under $50, and laptop keyboards are generally relatively easy to replace (often it can be done with only a flat bladed screwdriver).

How to unlock the key pad on a dell latitude D600 laptop

Hi. Please do troubleshooting steps below:

1. Check to be sure your "Number Lock" or "Function Lock" keys aren't lit. These can lock out certain parts of your keyboard. If either of these is lit, press them to unlock the locked portion of your keyboard. These can be found at the top right on a laptop and between the number pad and main keys on a desktop keyboard.

2. Save all open programs using your mouse. Use your mouse to restart your computer. This will only work if your computer isn't frozen. If your mouse doesn't move, press the power button on your Dell until the computer turns off. Press it again to restart. If the issue was lack of memory or a locked program, this will unlock your keyboard. Continue to Step 3 if the keyboard is still locked.

3. Shut down your computer using your mouse or power button. Don't restart. Unplug your Dell.

4. Remove the battery if you're using a laptop by turning the laptop over and sliding the battery release latch. Slide the battery out and replace after one minute.

Have a good one!

Keyboard on hp dv7-1130us stopped working

This sounds alot like a virus i once had!
try a system restore to the point before these problems occured. if that doesnt work run a full virus scan. If that doesnt fix the problem you may have to wipe the hard drive completly.

    My C Doesnt Work

What you need is a new keyboard. Remember--they are basically anelectronic part (in this case a pressure-sensitive part) and theysometimes fail.
You can get a replacement keyboard from Toshiba or use a place like National Parts Depot.
    You can reach them at

    Letter

The letter "H" on your keyboard got stuck and it's like pressed down all the time. You can pop out the key then clean it. If the issue is resolved, you should not hear the beeping sound anymore when you boot up the unit. Or better yet, if your under warranty, contact Toshiba, 1-800-457-7777 and they'll be blad to repair your keyboard.

    Hope this helps.

    Acer Laptop keyboard problem

It sounds like you have a problem with your CMOS battery. I had a similar problem with another Notebook recently. The computer does not know its CMOS settings (including the BIOS settings) anymore since the battery is empty or damaged. When you enter the device selection (F12) it saves the information again so it can boot normaly now. I think you should get a new CMOS battery and the problem might be solved. Also the keyboard problem might be fixed with that - i also had keyboard problems with the Laptop i mentioned above when the battery was empty.
