I have a Panasonic VDR-D105 DVD video camera. It will not power up, nothing works, not even LED's, etc. using either charged battery or AC adapter. The viewing screen does briefly brighten very slightly for just a moment (can only be seen in a darkened room) when the camera power switch is turned on, which at least indicates that the switch is probably functioning correctly.

There is full rated voltage (~8v) from the AC adapter, and when it is plugged into camera, same voltage appears across battery bay contacts.
There was no known damage or incident that caused this. It just happened after trying to turn unit on one day after not being used for several months.

It's going to have to be serviced. Sounds like something is going on with the power supply.

The AC adaptor could be bad. Do you have any way of cheking it?

This information is probably included in the camcorder manual - unless you have mislaid that as well.

How to transfer my dvd video to my computer

On this page...  http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Cameras-Camcorders/Camcorders/DVD-Camcorders/Drivers-Downloads/model.VDR-D105.D

You can dowload software which will allow you to connect your cam to pc.  There is firmware which you need to know what you're doing with. But the other drivers, are what you are looking for.

Panasonic VDR-D250 - I want to transfer the video taken on the 4" disc to usable DVD probably via pc - help please

Pinnacle Studio will work with your camcorder. You can either plug the camcorder into the computer and capture the video to your hard drive or you can import the DVD into the hard drive.

Looks like Imagemixer isn't available anymore according to a Google search.

Disc error on my VDR-D105

Your going to have to finalize it to get it to read onto another DVD player. If you don't finalize it, then its locked into your DVD camcorder and will only playback on the camera.

You must finalise the disk before you can play the movies on your PC or any other DVD player. Your instruction manual will tell you how to do this.

Finalize

to finalize the disk for enabling discs to be  played on other devices. Connect this unit to the AC adaptor. Finalization cannot be executed using a battery. Rotate the mode dial to select the arrow. Press the MENU button, then select SETUP, FINALIZE, YES and press the joystick. Select whether or not to create a top menu, then press the joystick. When the confirmation message appears, select YES then press the joystick. hope this helps you. julie

Unable to connect vdr-d250 to pc

I think that the following are to be taken care of first:
1.Cam corder to pc cable is properly connected. Some call it as 1384 connection also.
2.Cam corder should also be run on play mode for transmitting a/v signals to pc to decipher.
3.Ur pc also should have been installed with codec for processing the signals .
4.Your pc also should be usb.2.0 capable.
5.The media on the cam should not be protected for free playing along with pc.
If all the above are checked you would have cracked clear right.
good luck.
