Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer

Kodak 5500 printer won't print red

My Kodak 5500 all in one printer no longer prints red. It always comes out pink. I've changed the ink, aligned the cartridges, cleaned the print heads. What can I do?

    I did what you said, and it worked! However, not a month later, but two days later, NO BLACK! UGH! I wanted to love this printer so much. I was so thrilled about the possibility of cheaper ink. But no matter how I try and spin it, the purchase of this printer was a bad choice.

I also have this same problem. What works to a degree is to take out print head and SOAK IN WARM WATER. This will take out most all the ink residue and debris. Then dry off and reinstlal immediately. This worked for me but a month later, NO BLACK!

My 5500 printer is printing blank pages - can you help?


Hi

Does the ink cartridges are new or old? How long did you stop printing? Because if you stop printing for a very long time, the ink dries up and you need a little cleaning for the print head. Remove the ink cartridges and rub the print head into a plain paper with alcohol until ink flows and the run the cleaning maintenance like print alignment or print nozzle.

The printer does not print reds and pinks


Follow www.kodak.com/go/itg and try the step by step solution.If issue persists,Call Kodak @1800 421 6699 and get a new printhead free of cost.....Printhead has gone bad and it is the part in which we install the ink cartridges.It takes the ink out of the cartridges and spit the ink on the papers,...Cheers and Enjoy..

My Kodak 5500 all in one won't print in black ink


This is a common problem. Please follow the below mentioned steps:
  • Reseat the ink and the printhead on the printer.
  • On doing this, the printer will ask you to print a calibration sheet for which, it would display the instructions on the printer screen.
  • After printing the calibration sheet, press Menu button and got to the option Clean Printhead and hit ok.
  • Choose deep clean and hit ok.
If the issue persists, you need to get another printhead.
Kodak will not charge you for the printhead.

Picture prints too pink


What you see on the screen is quite often not what prints. Sometimes the screen will not show a slight color anomoly. If your pictures were taken with a digital camera, this is quite common. Try the photo enhancement software that came with your camera, or alternately, your printer. They all supply the software because of color corrections that are at times necessary. Sometimes always. Hope that helps. Try the "Auto Correct" function that most photo correction software has. That should help!

Hi,
Pink color usually indicates, color cartridge bad,
Try cleaning nozzles, head cleaner, alignment, calibration
Print off a test page,
If still bad, New cartridge, it's a bad one.

Calibration not working


When you place the calibration sheet on the scanner glass, make sure you put it with the blue arrow facing the yellow triangle on the scanner. (the page must be, obviously, facing down).

As with the red color issue goes, try replacing the color ink cartridge. If that does not work, contact kodak support to fix the problem (you can go to kodak.com/go/itg for troubleshooting steps)

Easyshare5300 wont print


Hi Grandma,

Sorry to hear of your trouble.

I would remove the ink carts, reseat the print head then reinstall the ink carts. Try printing again to see if things improve. If it does good. If not try the Kodak online team. 800 421 6699 They will help you get things working correctly.

Aoi 5300 printer


Have changed both ink cartridges and print quality is still VERYpoor. Have re-calibrated printer, restarted computer, still no change...please help.

Copies are coming out pink


Call Kodak Support at 1-800-421-6699. Sounds like your print head. They are excellent and solved my problem with next day supply of new print head and ink cartridges Free. Amazing service and great Kodak 5500 AIO printer.
