Question about Dell OptiPlex GX270 PC Desktop

Gx270Screen splits up

I just go 2 gx270's from a hospital office sale. I already have a dell8400, that is hooked up to a viewsonic 17" flatscreen. I hooked my monitor and keyboard up to one of the new gx270s. The moment it started booting I noticed that the screen was split in the middle. A large black bar appears in the center, and the desktop is split, it's not divided, it is as though there are two screens - I movethe mouse allthe way to the left andit comes around from the right side of the screen. No idea why. I used a dell recovery disc to reinstall the os, and all the setup screens show up normal. But when windows boots back up, same problem. And it happens on both! No idea. The monitor works fine for my 8400. Please help

Is your monitor connected to the on-board video connection, or a video card (PCI or AGP type)?

Check your video card settings, it sounds as though the setting is set for two displays.
Good Luck.

When booting my dell optipexGX 270 desktop, i am alerted of "system battery voltage low" and the screen colour changes. please what do i do to correct this?

you can try changing the coin cell battery on the motherboard (You can get one at Walmart for about $3
You may have bigger issues as the GX270 was one of the models affected by a batch of faulty capacitors that plagued PC builders a few years back. So check the capacitors on the motherboard (Little black barrel shapes with X on the top) for swelling and splitting in the X region, if they are faiing you will need a new motherboard, but effectively a new computer as that model is really not economical to repair

How to get a death certificate of person

This can be obtained at the declarative site of pronunciation, preferably, the hospital were the deceased was transferred to after the death occurred. After the autopsy has been administered, the certified death certificate will be formed and filed at the participating hospital/legal outfit.

Once these formalities/procedures have occurred, you can obtain this document, via your local law firm or walk-in appointment with the local medical establishment/records office.

Dell optiplex gx270 making a loud clicking noise. I think it's my harddrive going bad. Use to shut down when it started doing it, and now will make loud clicking noise and then stops..system runs a little...

Yes, your hard drive is going bad but before concluding that your hdd is already bad do this first download hard disk sentinel and install it on your pc.

after you have downloaded and install the program run a series of test on it. then if you find that the hard drive is already faulty then its about time to replace it
