Hi here you've got drivers for your monitor if you not instaled them allready http://devdrivers.net/Drivers/Download-4789/LG%20Monitors-Driver/ ( you need download drivers for analog and/ or digital connection depence witch you are use). After instalation reboot you pc and then check settings in your graphic card. Look for dual display or something similar. If you still have problem with it let me know. If it help please rate it. Regards

If I'm just using the regular DSub connector would that be analog?

  • Anonymous Oct 29, 2010

Yes. That's the regular VGA input, usually colored blue.. DVI is a larger rectangular connector that's usually white.

Make sure the correct input is selected. This monitor has both analog (VGA) and digital (DVI) inputs, and it may not be automatically detecting the input you're using. If the proper input is selected and the monitor still says there isn't any input signal, about the only option is to replace the monitor or try to find a replacement signal board from an online source. Most repairs need specialized tools to diagnose and then change the bad parts.

Thanks for your help PA Guy. I've tried all 3 different signal input options. I just got the monitor used and think it has issues. Sometimes when its not plugged into a pc when I turn it on the light just blinks green with nothing on the screen and after being left on for a long time it will finally stay solid green and the no input signal will come on. Also is the no input signal supposed to blink? Thats what mines doing. I'm also plugging in to a Mac and the drivers are not installed, would either of those make a difference? Thanks again to PA Guy for the quick reply, I only posted this like 10mins ago!!

No drivers are needed for the basic video resolutions. At the very least, if it's working at all, the monitor should display POST information (which is plain text) when the computer starts up. From what you've said it sounds like you bought someone else's troubles. If you can, take it back to whoever sold it to you and get your money back.

How to repair lg flatron monitor tco fail problem & no signal

Have you tried plugging in your monitor to a different system unit? If by doing this solves yourproblem, then i would assume a graphicscardproblem, or maybe a contactproblemof it to the main board. Then, you can trycleaningthe graphiccardcontact. If this didn't work, you probably have a faultycard. Or you may try plugging in a known good monitor to your system unit? If after doing so resolves theproblem, then theproblemis on the monitor. Signal cables of monitors are the common cause of it, you may try movingthe cablewhile connected to your pc. Replacethe cableif possible.

LG Flatron W2254TQ My monitor is vertically divided in half with a grayish cast color on the right side, and a bluish cast color on the left side - I can still see everything, but it sure is...

Get a replacement vga lead for it as i am guessing that it has become faulty, try bending the cable where it connects to the pc and monitor and see if you notice a change if it goes back to normal your cable is not attached correctly or it has broken connections inside.

Please leave feedback for me if this helped

I have a flatron w2253tq and have "analoge power saving "on. I cannot see the desktop

Is the monitor connected to the computer using a VGA plug (a smaller one, with 15 pins in 3 rows), or a DVI plug (wider one, with flat pins in 2 rows)?

From what you write, your monitor is switched to the analog input (VGA). It doesn't sense any signal on that input and hence goes to power down mode.

You need to go to your monitor's on-screen menu and select the digital input - you should see the picture then.

hmm,
Exact message could Find a Closest solution.
anyways, what you might be getting is a message like,
No Input signal,Check Video Cable.
it means that the Connection from the Monitor to PC is Loose,
Connect them Secure and tight to FIx it.

DVI connection

Did you try your monitor with another output (VGA)? If not, try it.
So, you have to check and make sure where the problem is (display card, monitor, or cable). Try with another cable or monitor. This way you will know where the problem is. If you don't have another monitor, try the monitor you have with build in VGA output on motherboard by taking the display card out.
Thank you,
Tan
