THe fuse is good. there is as seperate black box that sais Filter/Fuse. No indication if it is good or not I would think the regular fuse would blow first.

THis is a RV with a built in Video Switch, that supplies the Poss & Neg from the battery.

Radio quit, no sound no LCD display no clock display, antenna doesn't raise

Sounds like the 12v constant wire is dead, usually the yellow wire connected to the radio. Check for correct voltages.

My battery was dead of a week. When I purchased a new one my radio would start but only the head unit would power up. I went back to check the amp and its not powering on. I believe its the amp but don't...

Walmart, K Mart, Auto shops, car stereo shops would be a great place to start to search for fuses. Make sure you take out the old one from the amp, and I would also take out the fuse from the battery compartment as well. Do not buy bigger rated fuses, make sure they match the ones from your amp!

Similar prob.did the 12 steps on how to install amp(jensen4100,blue).red protec light comes on when starting car then goes out and is not followed up by the green protec light .green one never comes on....

If you are running a set or a single subwoofer with the jensen amp than you will want to hook up the rca cord to the subwoofer rca connection on the back of the stereo unit-the other rca outputs are there in the event that you want to run a 2 or 4 channel amp to power the speakers that are generally located in the doors or back deck-with that set up properly you would still be able to adjust the balance and the fader just as though you were powering the speakers with the deck. Pug the free ends of the RCA cord into the input rca receptacles of the amp- the stereo now will feed a signal to the amplifier that only contains bass - good luck

Koiiler car amplifier xm-7663 is not powering on when the head on

I'm just taking a shot in the dark here.... My friend had an old Toyota Corrola and he had the same problem with his brand new Kenwood 1800 amp. What you need to do is check your battery in your car, sometimes if, its old it wont push enough volts out to power the amp. Also, if your just in accessory then it'll cut out after awhile, if so, just drive it around more and it should start back up.

No power

You probably have ONE of the speakers wired out of phase.

If the speakers are wired correctly, you may have the crossover set to high pass instead of low pass.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

ONE CHANNEL NOT WORKING

Please don't take offense, but some tips on submitting problems on Fixya:
  • Resist the urge to use all capital letters. Reserve them for frustrating yells :).
  • Use a period or two. It's very hard to read without them.
The easier to read, the better responses you'll get!
Anyway, back to the issue at hand.....

Definitely get a handle on the gain adjustment. Both channels should start with a gain at the 50% point. Also, you can try bridging the amp ("+" speaker outputs tied together, "-" speaker outputs tied together) and run the full 800W into the single 10" sub, but that is going to depend on what your sub is rated to handle.

The only other thing I can recommend is call around to a couple stereo shops and see if anyone can test the amp for output power. That'll verify whether there's really a problem on the one channel.

Car audio 'safe'

'SAFE' Is displayed because the radio is protected by a 'CODE'
The more wrong codes you enter the longer the word 'SAFE' will remain on the display... Look through all your paper work & try to find the 4 digit 'CODE'... eg: 2456 this can then be entered by pressing the 12456 preset buttons.

Failing that you will have to go to a audi dealer they will be able to get it from a database or buy a aftermarket stereo.

Orion XTR Pro 1000 amp ticking

the amplifier output transistor or ic may be damage, its the relay may be thats ticking, or if not the output going to the speaker may be shorted or overloaded with low impedance, you may remove some speaker and try again.

the sub amp may be damage, shorted. you may have a wrong speaker hook-up the first time you use it. too low impedance may have damage the sub.
