The most likely culprit is not shutting off the MP3 player before you replace your battery. Whenever you cut the power source without giving the MP3 player a chance to save its settings, it re-syncs the music. Shut off the MP3 player completely before taking the battery out and it should not have to re-sync next time you start it up.

Need to reformat your ipod - don't disconnect the ipod until you hit eject - ever you should be able to use it again try a different cord and reformat then have fun cause you get to reload all the music unless you were able to save your iTunes library

My battery only plays music for around 8 hours, not the 20 as per the owner's manual. Can the battery be replaced without losing all the downloaded music?

Without knowing the make/model of the MP3 device its hard to give 100% answer.

However most MP3 devices will allow you to backup the data stored on the device to a PC to be restored back to the device whenever you please. Also if the battery to the deivce is removeable, this will not effect the data on the device and a simple battery replacement will solve the problem.

My boyfriend deleated all the music from my iriver mp3 and now i can't get it to change mode. i change the battery i even pug in the usb and it is still say scaning for music

If your computer recognises it, then all you have to do is to sync the music across from your playlist in windows media player. This should unlock it. (Change your boyfriend too :D)

I need the drivers to download songs on my naxa nx-187 and no they dont have the software on their website

Hello.
Please follow these steps to put music on your Mp3 Player.

  1. Start off by putting a battery in you Naxa mp3 player. This is necessary in order to add music to a Naxa mp3 player. Naxa mp3 Players require one AAA battery and this battery goes into the back of the device.
  2. Plug your Naxa mp3 player into your computer. To do this, take the cap off of the bottom of the player. You will then be able to plug the Naxa mp3 player directly into a USB port on your computer.
  3. Open Windows Media Player and then click the "Sync" tab found at the very top of the program. Once you do, you will notice that the Naxa mp3 player is listed in the top right corner of Windows Media Player.
  4. Double-click the "Library" link on the left side of Windows Media Player. Once you do, several different options will appear underneath "Library."
  5. Click the "Songs" option found below "Library." Once you do, a list of all of the songs in your Windows Media library will appear in the middle of the program.
  6. Browse through all of the songs in your library and right click over any song you want to add to your Naxa mp3 player. After you right click on a song, you will need to select "Add to Sync List." You will then see the song listed in the column on the far right side of Windows Media Player. Continue doing this until you are finished putting music on the Naxa mp3 player.
  7. Click the "Start Sync" button located underneath the list of music you selected in Step 7. The music will then be added to the Naxa mp3 player
Thank You
From eHow.

Wont show songs

Did you use Windows Media Player to sync or just drap and drop?

You probably have to reset the software using the CD that came with it, then re-sync all your music using Windows Media Player.
