The ring tone is defaulting to generic Nokia tone when I have set it to an mp3 song that is loaded on the phone. The songs play correctly in the music player, but the phone won't ring with the set tone.

Your MP3 file may be too long in duration (try cutting it down to less than 10 seconds and try again), the file name may be too long (try renaming it on the desktop as ringmp3.mp3 and transfer to phone), or the MP3 may be recorded in a bit rate that is too high for the phone to support as a ringtone (transcode again to a lower bitrate).

How do I down load ring tones off my computer I

The easiest way is to get a microSD memory card and a USB card reader. Put the memory card in the reader and plug that into the PC. Copy your ring tones onto the card, then put the card into the RAZR.

Alternately, you can get USB drivers here, then when you connect your phone to your PC (with a cheap $5 micro-USB cable) you can put your ring tones on to the phone directly.

I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW HOW I CAN DOWNLOAD FREE RING TONES TO MY BOOST MOBILE CLUTCH PHONE?

load your own ring tones to it from your computer with a USB cable or micro SD card. If your phone has a media player of any sort (mp3 player), then you can use these two methods to upload any mp3 you want, and assign it as your ring tone.

Can I use a sound from the sound album for a ring tone and how do I set it LG 285

That depends on what format the phone has default tones of. If they're set for mp3 format then you can use an mp3 of any kind as a tone also the file size is key. Some phones have a limit of 300K. There are programs available online to create your own ringtones from music files. I've created over 300 tones from audio clips from movies and TV as well as many music files. You'll never have to purchase and download ringtones from your service provider.

On most phones you can connect it to your pc and transfer files. If not you can use a memory card to transfer data. Just save the file to your tones folder and then select it as your default or an individual caller's tone. Good luck

Unable to load a mp3 ringtone on my Omnia

You should have a USB cable that comes with the phone n the driver for your files transfer from PC to Phone [I hope you got that CD too]. Now first of all install that driver from the CD...when it asks connect your phone to the computer with the USB cable. Open up the File Manager,My Music or you can create a new folder n name it Ringtones n start transfering...it is very easy once u start doing it. Another method is...you do that via Bluetooth option...take ringtones or songs from somebody's phone. Let me know if there's any prob.

I want to use my mp3 songs on my phone as ringtones

If your phone is a "smart phone" and able to be connected to your computer you can download your mp3 files to the phone. You must have the software that comes with the phone so that the files may be formated and transfered to the handset. Some phones do not allow mp3 files to be used as "ringtone" for the purpose of having you buy the ringtone.
