Skiping

CD Recorder that I bought 5 years ago, for the last year or so it starting to skip after 30 minutes of play, it dasn't matter what type of CD I play original or a copy.
please help me I love the machine.

Skipping can be the loss of tracking information or a bad motor. Try cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Also, look at the rails that the optics ride on. clean those using a dry cotton swab. There should be small gears close by that move the optics along the rails. Make sure that the teeth are clear.
