Question about Digital Cameras

1 Answer

Nikon D80 The noise was a pop sound.   Your opinion is correct, however I thought this payment to post on this site was about assistance and how to fix the problem.  How much does it cost etc..., I bought it @ Best Buy and it is the flash assy. that came w/ the camera.

Digital cameras are very fragile units.
if u try to repair them with out any prior experience u would end up with a heavy loss.
that is my personal advice.
BCZ i have made a mess once during my early days.

since this is not a external flash u will have to open the unit to replace the bulb.
and that why i told you to get ti done by a tech.

if its external flash it does not need any kind of technical experience.

My nikkon d80 is showing err what ot do

This is a very often asked question. The answer has been posted many times on this site: The ERR message is not a good thing. Read page 132 of the D80 Manual. Also, try a factory reset found on page 129 of the manual. On the left side of the camera is the terminal cover, inside below the USB connector is the reset switch. If that does not work call Nikon digital 1-800-645-6689.

Sounds like you have an electrical problem that is bring up the error. Or the lens may have a mechanical problem. Try Phototech in NYC. They are Nikon authorized, and usually do repairs within 1 week. You can ship them your camera. Here is the website.

D80 SLR lens /flash prob lem

What are your other lenses? If they're not AF lenses, you're not going to get autofocus or metering.

Is your flash not working when popped up? Remember that the flash won't pop up automatically in Manual mode.

Nikon D80 flash won't pop up

Must be a problem with the flash lock. Try to pop up the flash manually using the flash button located at the top left of the camera beside the flash. If this does not work, you may need to have the cam serviced

Nikon D80 - My (built in) Flash will not pop up.

That is just a mechanical problem. There is just a little hook holding the flash and it retracts when you push the bottom to pop up the flash. I'm sure it can be easily fixed, never the less your camera store or Nikon should take care of it. So take it back to the place you bought it.
