You can create a Windows password reset bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive to reset forgotten Windows password, i have created a bootable USB flash drive with the tool Windows Password Breaker and reset my administrator password successfully.

If i reset my dell inspiron b120 to factory settings will it get rid of all the viruses

Maybe. All the OS viruses will be gone, but if you have MBR viruses, you won't get rid of those. Try Microsoft Security Essentials, it's free. Download it and scan your computer.

check to make sure that the lcd cable are not loose. Best thing to do would be to take off the lcd cable are put it back on so it has a good solid connection. Make sure it has a good connection on the back of the lcd and also where it connects to the motherboard.

After you do that, turn on the laptop and see if the picture comes up normally, if it doesn't then the lcd is bad and would need to be replaced.

Rebooting

To get rid of the virus and set it back "just as you bought it", reformat the hard drive and install a new operating system with your recovery or operating system disc. If you use the built in quick recovery system, the virus will remain, and continue to cause damage to the system.
