Same Problem

Dec 31, 2008

-   I have the same problem in actually two cd players when I was trying to play a cd. I would think it may be the disk itself that is the problem. I tried lightly blowing canned air where the eye is. I also wiped my disc off and then it played in one cd player. May want to try these two things but I can't guarantee it will work. To me it almost seemed like there might have been some dust on the cd and then it congregated on the eye causing it to seem like there was "no disc" to the cd player, is a guess. -   Ruby68

-   I have the same problem. My player worked properly for several years, and then it started to become temperamental: occasionally it would read "No Disc" because it wasn't recognizing the presence of the disc on the player. It started happening more and more frequently, and now I can hardly ever play a disc. One ******* posted as a solution, "Use electrical tape to cover the LCD screen and you won't have to see the 'No Disc' message." The sarcastic moron was too stupid to figure out that we wouldn't be posting these messages if the display read "No Disc" but the CDs played anyway. -   andrewdonald

Use electrical tape to cover the LCD screen and you won't have to see the "No Disc" message.

Hi I don't have a boom box, but i do know a little bit about CD players, and i think first the CD you are putting into the player as to be a proper bought CD, you know official CD, if you have done that, and still have the same problem, then its because the laser light is faulty, which basically means the CD player needs replacing.

I'm having the same problem, but the CD won't play. I'm not sure if yours was playing or not. So, if anyone has a real solution, I'm anxious to hear it.
