I have the same phone, when you close it with the camera facing you you will see the two buttons on the left side. One is long (on top) and the small one is on the bottom, or under neath it. You press the long putton which is above and you should see the word STYLE: followed by either "Silent" " Vibrate" "Loud" etc. Once you have pressed the skinny long button on the left side and the screen says STYLE: silent then you press the little button below it once, then press it again, etc it cycles through the different ringing modes like silent, vibrate, vibrate then ring, soft, and loud. You press it until you see a setting you like and then press the long skinny button on top to set it. I keep mine on Loud. I hope this helps.

Phone mutes while I'm talking

Sometimes when phone is security locked and you answer a call your phone gives you access to call screen until you put it to your ear (and the phone blanks screen because it's at your ear). If you accidently hit the mute button with your face before the screen turns off you will mute yourself. This happens to me sometimes and when i pull the phone away from my ear the phone display lights up but the phone is on lock so i have to put in pin to unlock screen and unmute myself

When I am on the phone the mute button keeps cutting off my conversations. I would like to completely eliminate the mute button...how do I do this?

You can't. You can't do anything to change the phone default software like that.
what you can try is when your on a call. chose to show the keypad then the mute button goes away.

Also make sure the phone is close enough to your face to activate the screen switch sensor. That shuts the screen off on the phone so you can't hit "buttons"

No phone calls

Check to make sure that the phone is not in "mute" mode. If you are talking to someone and tell them to hang on and want to talk to someone in person without the caller hearing you, you hit the mute button so they cannot hear what you say. It sounds like you have mute enabled and just need to un-mute the phone.

To mute/unmute the microphone, look next to the speakerphone icon and click on it. It looks like a microphone. I hope this helps and good luck!

Razr in mute mode

the only mute function is to mute/unmute a call during the active call.
It is the - key (center button at the top of the keypad)
Have you turned the volume too low?
If you turn the volume to low, it will stay low all the time until you reset it to a higher level.
You just press the volume keys on the side of the flip lid or set in the setup menu.

No sound (ringer, keyboard, etc.)

You may have hit the mute button, you may have turned the volume down using the buttons or you may have accidentally put it in airplane mode or another mode where "sound off" is specified.
Hit the volume mute button, hit the volume up button, go to settings for the volume option, go to the settings menu and change the mode that the phone is set to a standard mode

Verizon phone mute button

Talk about silly. This is the 3rd time typing the solution. (The Terms of Use link wiped it out too.) I had same problem by accidentally setting mute from bluetooth headset. If you have same situation, just turn volume up or down on headset. (Turning volume up or down on cellphone did not help me.) Good Luck,
