Oh dear you have suffered what is probably the worst that can happen to this machine. When your original print head failed it took out the logic board with it. They should have been replaced as a pair at the same time. thats what we (canon engineers) do. Fortunately the logic board is not to expensive . The logic board part number is QM3-2738.
Good luck.
PS. I take no responsibilty if the logic board does not cure as although the print head works in another machine it may not in this one. Srri
Hello.
This is the door on the very front of the printer. When down it acts like a paper tray to catch printed paper.
This door must be open before you start printing. to open it simply push the top of it slightly, and it will pop open.
I hope this helps, Regards
GM
If the inner cover is open when starting normal printing, close it before pressing [OK] on the machine.Do not open or close the inner cover when printing. This may damage the machine.
the error message means there is something wrong with the printer and if the problem is not attended to, the error message will not go away.
In this case, the error message showing on your canon ip4300 is related to a door problem. It has something to do with the front door of your printer. I think the front door of your printer is closed of which is supposed to be opened.
So, the solution is to Open the paper output tray of your printer and the problem should be solved.
Just fixed this problem on mine. Need to remove the covers, watch these 2 vids to see how.. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=martop49#p/u/1/iQdHDR6po80
Then
on the right side where the on switch is, near the hinge is a little
switch with 2 yellow wires, it's probably broke. Pull the 2 wires out
and solder or twist them together, then put everything back together.
It will now assume the door is always open. Jobs a good'n :)
