If you're going to download the latest driver for your Compaq Presario 700 series, be sure to select the correct model number of your laptop. I have checked the site and there were several versions for Compaq Presario 700.

Installing only audio drivers will give you error "DRIVER INSTALLATION FAILED. COULD NOT FIND MEDIA DEVICE FOR THIS DRIVER" .so to solve this problem first you have to download microsoft universal audio driver and then install audio drivers
