Re: Help!!!!! My philips SA3125/02 isnt working!
Reset will NOT delete all your music, but the permanent fix that you need to prevent this from happening again will delete all the songs. Reset, and see if it works. But it might freeze up on you during vacation. You will have to keep pushing reset until you get home and have more time for the permanent fix.

all you need to do is push and hold the ^ (up) key on the front and the Volume + key on the side for a few seconds. This will force the hddto reset and turn off. Now you can turn it back on and continue using it. Please note this doesn’t erase the data or music off the MP3 player.
this MP3 PLAYER, may have become corrupted after the transfer of music, if you are still valid for warranty, contact phillips and ask them about it or take it back to the store where you purchased it and tell them about the problem and what happened
Turn off the player after turning it off. Perform recovery mode ( Enable hold switch + Press Record button + Power/Menu button ) until it says welcome to recovery mode and perform the update for the player. Then after doing that you may have to format the player. :D
Mine did the exact same thing. I called support and after having to fax my serial number info with my sales slip (I bought it six months ago--lucky I had the Circuit City email receipt), they confirmed it was still under warranty.
Basically, they said it can't be fixed. They gave me a 'ship to' address and said they'll send me a new one when the recieve the bad one.
If you act quickly, they should be able to exchange yours, too. You might want to ask if they'll pick up the return shipment. I paid just under $10 for UPS, but now wish I'd have asked. Good Luck.
