How about I make it simple:
Download and run:

http://www.malwaresupport.com/mbam/program/mbam-setup.exe

Called malwarebytes antimalware; it's free. I use it three times a day. superantispyware is not bad, but malwarebytes will remove it in a quick scan without needing to go to safe mode. regardless, my suggestion download BOTH run BOTH in a full scan, start with malware bytes full scan after updating them both. then reboot and run full scan of the superantispyware as well, do this for every login. it will also fix the hijacked backround, and the missing tabs in video properties. which I can also help you with but it should do this for you automatically, also NOD32 will keep it out once it's removed:

Follow all of these directions. There is a lot of things that you have to do to properly get rid of this malware. If these things do not get rid of it let me know. I will need to know the name of the malware if you can not get rid of it using these tools.

Turn the system restore off. System restore keeps everything in restore. Meaning......... If you have spyware or a virus, it will stay in your system. Run Spybot S&D (This program is free and is better than using msconfig as long as you go through the settings and change everything to the highest settings.) Then do the same with Adaware 2008 (sounds stupid to use 2 things for spyware, but one catches what the other one does not.). I have links on my website (tandnfamilyelectronics-online.com). These links go directly to the download so you will not get the run around. You would do good to try a program called Window Washer (http://www.download.com/Free-Internet-Window-Washer/3000-2144_4-10436825.html?cdlPid=10731707). This is a great program that completely cleans anything in your computer that you do not need. It will not clean out anything that you have to have. I have used this for years to clean out my customers computers and have cleaned as much as 3 gigs of trash out. If you contact me I will give you some tools that I have for free that will do a great job on your computer. I have them ready to download and I will give you the link. (dean@tandnfamilyelectronics-online.com)

Send me the complete specs of your system and I can help you more. I hope that this helps you. There is no reason the really buy a program for spyware when there are free things to use that work great. Free AVG is a great Antivirus and yes it is also free. It will check your e-mail coming and going. It will also let your friends now that the E-mail does not have a virus. It also has a spyware program that is free. This day and time with all of the spyware out on the net you can never have too many programs for spyware. I would not run all of them at the same time though. Make sure that you do not use your computer during any scan. Defrag is also something to do after you do everything else. Some people will tell you that should not reload your computer. If nothing seems to work then sometimes that is the only good way to get it repaired right. Most of the programs that come pre-installed on a store bought computer is useless and most are even trail software that causes problems when they expire. Let me know if this helps at all. Please rate me if it helps.

What Operating system are you using. Most of the time you can find them in your control panel under the system tab. On XP you can go to start - accessories - system tools - system information.

You need to try everything that I told you to try to get rid of the malware. The system information is only needed if you can't solve your problem. I really need the name of the malware if you can't get rid of it the way I told you. What Antivirus are you using right now. Is it updated. Sometimes an Antivirus can't get rid of malware. They have fixes on certain web sites if what I told you does not do the trick.

Here is the link for Window Washer when you get everything else done. Run this before you run Defrag.

I just checked and I did not have a problem. Do you have a message on the top of the page telling you that you need to click it for the download to work?
You can go directly to the company web site of ADAWARE 2008
    Spybot S&D
On the spybot page you will need to top download.
I do not put the direct page link on my web site because the company sites can sometimes be confusing. I could put the program on my site, but it updates a lot and I do not have time to keep changing the download. Other people have used the link without any trouble at all. It could be your security settings in your computer. If you keep having trouble with downloading the programs let me know. I will see what I can do for you. Check your security settings for your browser first, if you still can't download.

Did the last thing that I told you to do solve your problem?

  • T&N Family Electronics Dean and Sherrie Terrell

You need to look in your Browser settings and see where you have the downloads going to. In Firefox they have these settings under Tools - Downloads - or you can set the download under options. In IE they usually go to your desktop or your documents unless you have changed it to somewhere else. You usually have a box come up in IE asking you what to do with the file. If you have changed this to automatically send the files somewhere, then I do not have a clue where they are. You can do a search on your computer for the files if you need to. Go to Start - Search.
    What browser are you using?

Do you have problems with virus and worms you cant get rid of ???

Here is a great program to remove virus and malware.<br /> <br /> Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a surprisingly effective freeware antimalware tool. It's a relatively speedy malware remover, with the quick scan taking about 8 minutes even with other high-resource programs running. The heuristics engine proved on multiple computers during empirical testing that it was capable of determining the difference between false positives and dangerous apps. <br /> <br /> <a href="http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html">http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html</a><br />

How to Help Rid Your Computer of Malware and Viruses for Free

This tip will assist you in removing malware and viruses from your computer for free. The main thing to remember is that spyware and viruses are two different things. A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer. Malware, short for malicious software, is programming (code, scripts, active content, and other software) designed to disrupt or deny operation, gather information that leads to loss of privacy or exploitation, gain unauthorized access to system resources, and other abusive behavior. The expression is a general term used by computer professionals to mean a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, or
annoying software or program code. It is this type of program that gives you all those annoying pop-ups and will take you to web pages you don't want to go to.It's not uncommon these days for malware to blast right through a virus scanner, after all a virus scanner is looking for viruses, not malware. Below is a screenshot of an actual malware program masquerading as a virus scanner.

There are two excellent and FREE products that are very effective at removing viruses and malware when used together. The first is called Malware Bytes and it can be downloaded free from Download.com. The second is called CCleaner which will basically remove all the un-necessary cookies from your computer possibly left there by the malware program itself, It can also be downloaded at Download.com
They may not always work 100% because the malware programmers are always 1 step ahead of the anti-malware programmers and it may be the case that your computer has so many infections that it may be quicker and easier to back up your data and reinstall your operating system.
Malware Bytes Review http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol;1
Malware Bytes Download Link http://fileforum.betanews.com/download/Malwarebytes-AntiMalware/1186760019/1.
CCleaner Review http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/?tag=mncol;1
CCleaner Download Link. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard

Download both programs and run them, Malware Bytes will tell you how many infected objects found if any, it will give you the option of removing them and of course you would want to. It will require a reboot. After that I would run CCleaner to remove any cookies left by the malware / virus. You may want to run CCleaner before you reboot after the Malware Bytes scan has finished.

NOTE: some viruses / malware won't allow you to connect to the internet, in that case you will need to download the programs from an uninfected PC that is able to connect to the internet and save them on a USB drive then take them to the infected PC and install them from the USB drive.

NOTE: You may have to run the virus scan in safe mode by pressing F8 before windows starts up and then choosing "safe mode"

Try the free virus scanners at avast.com and hitman.com. One will do a virus check and the other searches for malware.
Hopefully these will get rid of the problems. If you still have problems after loading and running them let me know. Thanks.

Removing New Folder.EXE on your PC and other recurring files.

Hi, to all PC users, having problems with files that you have deleted but recopies itself again and again? Even if you use an anti-virus software, still the file keeps on recopying itself.
This type of virus is what we call malware. usually categories as a virus, but known in the computer world as malware. It usually present on infected flash drives.
Removal;
Instead of using anti virus, use an anti malware software, there are lots of good anti-malware softwares available on the internet for downloads, you can visit www.download.com to get your anti-malware software for free. By the way I am using AD-Aware as my anti malware software. You can also use it side by side with any anti virus software.
It scans the PC for malware active on your PC, once cleaned, by scanning it gets rid of those really disgusting files. After the scan, you can now manually delete the recurring files. These malwares can be in the form of worms, trojans or cookies.
As a piece of good advice, the best time to load anti malware or anti virus softwares are after reformatting your hard drive with a fresh copy of Windows, before any malware or virus sets in.

I keep getting a security alert that says I have 4 virus

That security alert is most likely one of the false positives that are running around the internet.
They tell you that you have a virus and then want you to pay them to get rid of it where in actual fact the only virus you have is them.
Try downloading, installing and running "malwarebytes" I have used this application many times to rid machines of the nonsense you are seeing.
