Re: GETTING LOST COMPUTER MODEL PART NO AND SERIAL NO
Most manufacturer's web site offer auto detection through thier support/drivers section. Run an auto detect, this should give you the model, then if there is a system configuration you should be able to use this to find the serial number.

Hi Russell, I think you need to go out to the Acer website on a different computer and download the driver for wireless and ethernet controllers for your model of Tablet. Then take the files on a jumpstick to the tablet and run the installers for each component. Acer's Support site: http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/ You may need the model and serial number from the label on the bottom of the laptop. Best wishes, Jon : )
your product key should be 5 letters or numbers per block and there should be 5 blocks the product key is located under the laptop also make sure you type it EXACTLY as written some people get confused by 0=zero and O=the letter. hope this helps.
It may be difficult to get Gateway to honor the warranty with the sticker missing. The receipt from when you purchased the laptop may have the serial number on it. If you can find a friends battery and get the computer on for a few minutes, sometimes the serial can be found in the BIOS. Belarc Advisor also can sometimes bring up that information, but you would have to get into windows to do that. How did you find out about the extended warranty?
i would think that best buy should be held resopsible for this if infact they lost the cd iff not the manufacture of the computer will be able to get you the cd that you need just call the tech support ok and they will ask you for the serial number on the computer and the service tag ok please keep me posted on this best regards mike
