Question about Creative Labs ZEN Vision:M Digital Media Player
The buttons started to freeze, but would work after I resetted the player. I didn't want to send it in to Creative bc I didn't want to lose all of my music. Now it isn't under warranty anymore and the touch pad isn't responding, even with numerous resets.
I upgraded the firmware yesterday and that hasn't helped. I would do recovery mode, but the touchpad and buttons do not work. Help?
Go ahead and get the player replaced - there is obviosuly a hardware issue here.
I stumbled on a knowledge base on the Creative web-site after I had registered the player; maybe this was not available to me previously.
This player has a Reset button sunk into the base. It needs a prod with the end of a paper clip during the boot up. The resultant Recovery menu gives the option to Format the disc which I've done and successfully loaded my music back again. It is now playing very nicely and hopefully will continue to do so.
I hope this info will help others with the same problem. I t appears that the music files can become corrupted very easily.
