Hi, I am having an ACER ASPIRE 5542 laptop. A few of my keys are not working especially the enter key and the numbers 5 and 8 under the number key section. Can you please suggest a fix to this problem?

Try to troubleshoot keyboard.start-->settings-->control panel--->keyboard---->troubleshoot.otherwise you have to change the keypad

I have this acer aspire one kav 60,every time i turn it on this beep sound kip coming for few seconds

looks like your number 3 on keyboard is stuck down...the beeping would imply a keyboard error at startup......you'll need to clean thoroughly under key 3

From your description the main keypad will need to be replaced, there are no seviceable parts, I suggest a computer tech to remedy the problem.

Hello, I think it can work somehow. Loose the key board and look for a dried place to keep it, so that when it dries, you can take a look At the key that is not working

you will able to remove Acer BIOS passwords by simply opening your notebook and removing the CMOS battery for 30 minutes.

Once your BIOS password is removed, you will need to press the key during POST (Power On Self Test) to enter the Acer BIOS setup.

THE BIOS SCREEN HAS ALL THE DETAILS THAT YOU NEED. YOU WILL HAVE TO ACCESS THE BIOS BY EITHER PRESSING F2 OR F10 OR DEL KEY WHILE POWERING ON THE LAPTOP.
